This worked fantastically to repair my daughter’s school shoes. Very fast and easy. Read more
VERY pleased with this glue. The trick is to follow the directions and let it cure properly before using. The tube is also designed to prevent the glue from drying out, which saves $$! I replaced the soles on a pair of sandals, and I'm very happy with the results. Read more

Second time was the charm with this one. The sole around the toe of my shoe had started to peel off, so I picked this up to try to repair it. The kit is nice because it comes with two tubes of glue plus sanding sticks and rubber bands to help hold things together while it sets. My first attempt did not work. I followed the instructions and even held the sole in place manually for about fifteen minutes like they recommend for the initial bond, then left it overnight with the rubber bands. By morning the glue had set but the sole had separated slightly while it was curing. I cleaned the glue off and tried again, but this time I used pins to hold the sole firmly in place while it cured. That worked much better. After the second repair I wore the shoes on a work trip and walked roughly 100,000 steps over several days. The sole stayed completely in place and has held up great. So yes, the glue itself works very well. My recommendation is just to go a bit further than the instructions suggest when securing the shoe while it cures. Use clamps, pins, or something sturdy to really keep the pieces from shifting. Once it is set properly, the bond is very strong and the repair holds up to real use. Read more

I received this shoe repair glue kit through Amazon Vine to test and review. I ordered this to try to fix my son’s shoes that had a major sole separation—the sole was hanging off by about 3/4 of the way. What’s in the kit: • Two bottles of glue, individually packaged. • One spatula for spreading the glue evenly or picking up extra laid down • Two small nail files for sanding/prepping the surfaces. • Two rubber bands (though for a big repair like this, I ended up needing about 15 regular rubber bands from around the house to clamp everything tightly while it dried). Everything arrived bundled in a plastic bag—simple and effective for storing the unused product and supplies. Application and performance: The glue is clear when wet and dries crystal clear, though it has a noticeable shiny finish if you’re inspecting closely (not matte). No need to cut off a tip like some glues; it flows easily from the bottle opening. The consistency is a bit thinner than some heavy-duty name-brand shoe glues I’ve used, which actually made it apply quickly—faster than I anticipated given the size of the opening. It spreads well with the included spatula. There’s a slightly strong odor (typical for strong adhesives), so good ventilation is a must. Instructions say it sets in 15-30 minutes, which is true for initial tack. For a firm, long-lasting bond, instructions recommend leaving it untouched for a full 24 hours, which is what I did. This was a pretty substantial repair job. I applied the glue generously, pressed the sole back on, and used a ton of rubber bands to hold it in place. It took some effort to get everything aligned and clamped securely without the sole shifting. I got quite a bit of glue on my hands during the process (it’s extremely sticky!), and even wiping it off quickly, I needed adhesive remover to fully clean up. Gloves would be a smart addition next time. Results: The glue held up great—the sole is still firmly attached weeks later, and the shoes are back in regular rotation. No peeling or loosening so far, even with my son wearing them daily. For a pair that was basically brand new but just outside the 30-day return window, this saved us from buying replacements. That said, like any repair glue, the final quality depends heavily on the workmanship. Prep work (cleaning, sanding), even application, and proper clamping time make a huge difference. Overall, I’m impressed with how well this performed for a tough fix. It’s a solid choice for DIY shoe repairs, especially with the included tools. Recommended for anyone dealing with separating soles—just take your time and use gloves! Read more
