I have several USB charging cords that are rated for high speed charging. When I plug them in using the high speed charging block, they will charge my phone from around 10% to 100% in just over an hour. But, if I use the same charging cord in the USB port on this surge protector, it will take almost double the amount of time to go from 10% to 100% charge. I will say, I really love how many outlets are available and having a 6-foot extension cord is wonderful. It's long enough to bring the surge protector out from behind furniture and has a ton of outlets. This is extremely helpful when I'm trying to do my nails because I use an LED light to cure the polish, a nail dremel, a lamp with a magnifying glass, and a fan all at the same time. The way the outlets are arranged on the surge protector, I can plug in all of these extra fat plugs and still be able to charge my cell phone or tablets at the same time. Update on earlier review:I had written this following review and I’m glad to announce that the company selling it stood behind their products and gave me a refund for the defective one and hopefully I can order more that will work properly! I appreciate them stepping up to the plate! as this surge protector stopped working completely right after the 30 day return window. Unfortunately, I could not return it. It was just what I was looking for with several types of USB connection and 110 plug-ins., when I plugged the first thing in and turned it on with the power switch there was a little spark with a little noise. It worked intermittently but now has stopped. I wish I would’ve returned it immediately as now it is at 30 day window of Amazonf., maybe the sellers or manufacturer will stand behind their product.
