First impressions: comes with almost everything (except 2 AA batteries for remote) needed for fun without the box. RC battery was packaged separately and had to be installed before use. More on that later. I found the remote easy to use although sized a little small for my adult hands (see last pic). The remote paired within 1 second with the RC vehicle. The Good: The remote paired immediately. RC car was responsive and easy to drive. Remote had a button to control the speed. On the slow speed it goes about 3 mph and on high speed let's just say it's fast enough that you have to jog to keep up. The lights are bright. I like that you can toggle the lights on and off. There's a dedicated button for demo mode. I only used it once to test out and didn't find it useful except to see what it could do. Steering: instead of a toggle stick I just had a dedicated left and right button. It makes steering left and right slower to control but the vehicle steered quickly. It's great turning ability is due to the fact that it steers like a tank- one side rolls forward while the other side rolls backwards. This allows it to turn 360° on the spot. Things I don't like: The water squirt feature only works when RC car is over water. There is no reservoir to fill up so you cannot shoot water driving on the ground. Just want to point it out for people thinking you could drive around the house shooting people with water, you can't. The function only works when on water source like a pool. (See pic showing water suction nozzle under RC car) The buoyancy is from the four air filled tires. At first they worked fine but after bumping into a wall one of the tires indented and I could not get it back to fully round. There are no tubes like a bicycle tire. The air is in there simply because of the shape of the wheel so squeezing the tire will deform it and squeeze all air out, removing its buoyancy. Doesn't seem to be way to re-inflate the tires so be gentle with the tires (see pic). My Biggest gripe was extracting the battery rvery time i needed to recharge the battery. To recharge the battery first you have to use the included mini screwdriver and remove two tiny screws then squeeze of two side brackets and remove the plate. Then you have to disconnect the 2-pin pigtail connector and then reconnect the battery's connector to the included USB charger. I should note that it came with a 2nd spare battery so you could swap it and keep playing while the first battery is charging. The difficulty in removing the battery every time to be recharged got frustrating fast and my child kept asking me for help. A better solution that I wish they had done is have a pass-through connector (like with cell phones) so you can charge the RC car's battery by connecting the charger into a port on the RC car so as not to have to take out the battery every time. But this was not the case so just be aware that this procedure has to be done every time you want to recharge the battery. The 2 battery compartment screws are small and I kept dropping them so make sure you're doing this in a clear area. Even the small little remote control had 2 screws. Speaking of recharging, I had to recharge often. The battery is advertised to last 45 minutes but I got about 32 minutes before it died on me. Perhaps 45 minutes is on the slower speed with the headlights off. By the way there's no memory feature so every time you turn the vehicle back on, all the lights are on by default. Final thoughts: if you're okay with the cumbersome process of recharging the battery, and waiting 4+ hours to charge for 30-45 minutes of play time, this RC car was very fun. It was responsive and The controls made it easy to steer. Both my boy and I had fun driving it around. Read more

4 yr birthday gift. It's tricky, fast, and shoots water if deep enough like in the bathtub. It's a hit! Read more
The media could not be loaded. I love using this guy, but as you will see in the video, it just seemed to be pretty beat up. If I paid what I paid for this and I got it completely, 100% brand new and not broken, this would easily be a five star toy. Great battery life, surprisingly fast, much easier to control even though I was a bit apprehensive of the controller, the water stuff is a blast and it truly is completely waterproof. Kids won't have a problem using the remote control and it's just the best gift you could probably give them. They can play with it in the bath, lake, swimming pool, mud puddle, anywhere. Read more
