This is noisy. But since I only use it for sleep, i like the background noise. This cools insanely well for the designated room size. My room feels like a refrigerator at 68°, bundled up in blankets. I was worried about the fact that there is a condensate tank that fills up, unlike window units. But i have yet to see the "water full" light come on, despite a lot of use over the past month. I like the remote and the multiple settings it has. Id recommend running the fan for a while after the AC, as it recommends that for before storage(lets the unit dry out). Compared to my central air which had my power bill at $200, this and a window unit in the other bedroom has cut the power bill to $90. The power savings alone pays for this conditioner after a couple of months. My apartment is from the early 1900s, so the window size is not standard. The window panel did not fit, but i was able to saw it down(plastic) to fit. Everything works perfectly. If you dont care about noise, this unit is amazing. If you care about noise, spend a little extra on a different one. Read more

Bought this unit for my RV, hooked everything up, but compressor kicks on, blows cold for about 30 seconds then kicks off and only blows room temperature air. Maybe somewhere in the delivery process, it was placed on its side, but who knows? So I'm letting it sit for a day, then will try it again. I even waited the 4 hours like the sticker said before turning on. UPDATE: I let it sit a few more hours, now it seems to be working OK. Kinda noisy but blowing cold air. Will probably have to buy a second one to keep the entire RV (34' motorhome). Still cheaper than replacing two roof air conditioners. Read more

This is really a good item to have I live in a early 20th century apartment building in the urban center of Miami and the wall unit air conditioners barely cool down the entire space. This air conditioner helps balance out and cool down the entire apartment. The only negative thing I would say --and it's not really the a/c's fault at all-- is that, due to the high humidity levels in Miami as well as the heat of late summer, the amount of water that condenses in the unit is huge! So much so that I inadvertently almost flooded my kitchen and living room as a result. But note: it's not the unit's fault it's simply that water will have nowhere to go. You keep in mind that cold air falls and hot air rises so try to put this in a higher elevation I put it above a table and it also helps with the water draining appropriately. Read more
