Bought November 2022 and it's proven to be reliable and indispensable. I'm using it as a master power switch for a pair of Adam Audio A4V and a single Sub7 subwoofer. Being a master power switch, I can now turn on/off my monitor speaker and subwoofer from the GLCONN Power Strip's power button/switch, I now don't have to reach around each monitor to power it on/off. One key feature that is well thought of is the GLCONN Power Strip's power button is being semi recessed which make it not prone to accidental switching off or on. The switch is also a long throw with heavier/stiffer spring. The 4 USB ports is also a big plus. I mounted the GLCONN Edge Mount Power Strip on my desk and then plugged into my main Furman power conditioner. Life has been easier since! Read more

Bought this to use while on an extended car trip and there never seems to be enough outlets or charging places. This was great. We had one bedroom that had one outlet ABOVE the headboard?!?! Weird. This was great to be able to plug in what we needed and to charge so many devices all at the same time. (We had a large group traveling together and didn't want to bring lots of individual usb plugs for the wall.) Can't praise it enough for the use on our trip. We use it at home now to provide added plugs where we need it. So far, it has worked wonderfully. Sometimes the cord doesn't want to retract easily, and we have to work at it (seems like it comes off the rotating part inside) but eventually it does. That has been the only weakness. Read more

I purchased this specifically to save electricity and it works well. I had been using a standard surge protector and unplugging adapters for devices that were off. This Tower saves me all that. There are 3 levels of outlets; each has a power shutoff button. With a little organization, I can now turn off the outlets for my computer setup with one button. The bottom level has things that are always on. The top level is where I plug in the various things that I use less often. I didn't find any information on the amount of surge protection [joules rating]. The Tower is light, but sturdy enough. The wide base keeps it from tipping over when heavy transformers are plugged in. The Amazon Product Description says "Individual switches for all power sockets" - this is misleading as there are only three switches to control all the outlets. I'm glad I purchased this. XD Now other people have complained about the lights, and I haven't had it with the lights off yet, but I really don't fuss too much about that part. It actually looks cooler with the lights on. And as for whether or not it's a surge protector, I can't say, as I haven't had it long enough to deduce that much. Now, I do live in Florida, and hurricane season starts in about a week from now, but the majority of Floridians know from birth that you are supposed to unplug all electronics if a storm watch is in effect, and anyone with a modicum of sense knows that you don't plug appliances or heavy electronics (such as tvs or laptops) into power strips or towers because of their tendency to overload. Instead you plug them directly into the wall socket. And you are really meant to unplug everything before you leave the house, too, though most people don't. So if your tower blew up or burned your best countertop, it's not because of the product but because you didn't follow instructions. Just saying. Anyway. Thanks to the pandemic I’ve found myself working from home... but also having to pack up my laptop to work from the office ~2x wk. Loathing climbing under my desk, pulling cords through/routing then back up the little desk hole without them dropping on my head whilst my 2 young dogs lick my face thinking I’m trying to play I decided to splurge on this surge protector that I could nearly tuck behind my monitors. It’s everything I hoped it would be. Naturally the surge protection makes me feel safeguarded with all the equipment needed to run in a home office space. The product also keeps my cords neatly kept and it’s simple to distinguish which cord is routed to each device. I’ve always been irritated with normal power strips when connecting office equipment because some have such space taking plugs that you’re unable to use other outlets you require. The tower design resolves these concerns while also eliminating the need for searching for your bases for USB charged items (& let’s face it, lots of items like wireless speakers & phone chargers no longer include them!) Lastly, it’s own power cord is sufficiently long to place it where I’d like, pull it forward to add/remove items, and survive my dogs jostling it while trying to make a nest at my feet when I work without affecting it staying plugged in to the receptacle. My wife is now permanently work from home. So, we bought a new sit to stand desk and added two of these so she could have power available. They worked great. We installed them about 2 years ago and are still glad we bought them. Great design, easy installation, and she has really appreciated the space it saves on her at-home "work" desktop.
