We have purchased several of these to light candles with. They work very well and lights the wicks pretty fast. The batteries last awhile. They look nice on the counters and ready to use. The arc tends to burn out and gum up after about 6 to 8 months of use. Still a good product to use for candles. Works 10 times better than a lighter and no burns trying to light them. Read more

Very cool product. If compared to a normal lighter you might feel it runs out too easily - but it's rechargeable! And it charges up fairly quickly. And that is just so cool. My other complaint is that the "opening" between the prongs is a little small. My friend lit his cigarette pretty easily on it, and it is fine if you're trying to light a bit of paper or lint on fire to start a fire. But if you're trying to melt the ends of a rope, even paracord, it's a little too small. I can cut through some of my thinner paracord using this lighter alone, which is very cool - but it risks melting some of it onto the lighter, which feels less cool. It is much less efficient at melting rope ends - which is actually probably the number one reason I bought it. Hence only 4 out of 5 stars from me, but maybe that's just because my usecase is a little niche. Again, very cool item. So cool. Still geeking out about it. And the three pack was a great price.
