Nice XT90 connectors with10AWG silicone wire
These XT90 connectors with 10AWG silicone wire are put together pretty well. Some of the plug ends are soldered a little better than others, but everything still looks secure and well attached. For lighter use like charging adapters or extensions, they’re perfectly fine as they come. If you’re planning to use them on something that pulls a lot of amps, I’d personally re-solder the plug ends and fill the solder cups a bit higher so they’re about three-quarters full of solder. That gives you a stronger joint and helps keep the connectors cooler under load. Even with the inconsistency in the soldering, considering the price, I think these connectors are a good value. XT90 connections on short pigtails, these work excellent.
I intend to switch all of my batteries and RC cars to XT 60 and XT 90 connections. I’m currently experimenting to see if a set of pigtails like this is superior to soldering and directly to the wires on the batteries in the car. I’ll try both soldering and using pigtails, and whichever does a batter job. Read more
