The grommet on my 2003 Vibe hood prop rod disappeared. I found these and hoped one would work. There are 30 pieces in this kit, but there are actually only 3 different pieces - 10 of each. I only needed one that fit. I still had the clip (and this one would not have worked) Of the 2 grommets, one was too big to fit in the hole in the chassis, the other fit. It could be a little softer plastic - but it works. Read more
I'm glad I found these. There were plenty of sizes to chose from and only took seconds to install them. Now there is no more hood prop rattling or moving all over the place. They seem to be made of good quality and work as they should Read more
Don't waste your money on this junk. Didn't fit on 2002 Jeep Wrangler TJ. It was a bit too small for any kind or snug fit. Read more
Using Amazon Vehicle matching where I have my 2002 Nissan Xterra entered in my profile, it claims these fit my Xterra. WRONG ! 😱 The very first thing I tried to install, the base of the white nylon hood strut clip that holds the strut when the hood is closed, is too big to snap into the original square hole in the front sheet metal ! 🙄 Fortunately, since it's "soft" nylon material, I put a cutting disk in my Dremel tool and trimmed away the nylon that was preventing fit...then it snapped in with a slight pop from a flat head screw driver and hammer.....I haven't even tried the black nylon pieces that are supposed to hold the bottom end of the strut because you can't really reach the installed base piece up inside the Xterra sheet metal very easily...and the original is just worn, not broken, as the white nylon piece was....so I'll live with it for now. As someone else posted here....Now I have a bag full of these clips for ~$5...as I just really needed the one I installed....seems good, solid, quality nylon though. Read more

Fits perfect, it's $6, and there's plenty of pieces in case they crack in the future. Good to keep in your automotive nuts and bolts box in the garage. There's the white clip for the hood rod and two types of black grommets, one has 4 tabs, the other has 8, that you insert on the inner fender. My 2000 Civic used the 4 tab kind. Just push it in by hand. Stays put. I used some pliers and a screwdriver to pull the old cracked ones out. 5 stars Read more

FIL destroyed MIL'S hood prop. After straightening the rod out and putting this in, it works again. Yeah, he put the hood prop in the wrong place and it got stuck. I pInted around the correct spot with red paint. Hint: put the prop hinge on a screw driver, place in the hole, strike with a hammer to insert. Impossible to just "push" in Read more
