I'm lucky to have bought this, because a few days after it was delivered my neighbor's car battery was completely dead. I had already ensured it was at full charge after receiving it (was mostly full from the get go) and had checked out all of the connections and did a manual read through, so I was prepared. Come time to use it, it was super easy. It worked amazingly fast and the car was running and ready to take my neighbor to buy a fresh battery from the store. So, the thing is really small compared to the older-style/standard jump starters. You can easily hold this in one hand and it'd probably fit in your pocket if you needed to. It comes with a small case to hold everything together and you can stash it away until you need it. It has easy to read LEDs that let you know the battery and charging status. It's honestly as simple as plugging the cables in and attaching it to the car battery. The only one tiny little thing I didn't like, but understand, the BOOST button is in a tiny pin hole, so requires something small to activate it. I thought I may have to use it on my neighbor's battery, because his battery was dead dead, but I didn't have anything on hand to use it. Luckily I didn't need it. I have since put a pin key in the bag with the jump starter and cables. I wish it had included one to begin with. I understand the reason for making the button difficult to press, it literally shuts off ALL safety mechanisms within the unit so you get the absolute maximum power. It's definitely something you only want to press when you absolutely need it. So overall, it's a great product. It's super useful to have and comes in handy. Whether you need it now, or not, it's good to keep in your car just in case. The charge holds for months, so you can honestly forget about it until you need it. this is a great lifesaver. lightweight, easy to use, & packs impressive power. so easy to use and lightweight, had one car with an older battery that we had go completely dead in a store parking lot away from home. took this out after my previous one wouldn't start it (viking 450 peak amp) from harbor frt. a good unit no doubt just not enough power to start a 5.0 V8 with dead battery. this Carhev though at 3000 peak amps fired it right up and we very happily drove home with all our groceries and us safe. it is loaded with safety features . , apparently they all work well for run down battery ,but you need more power for a dead one. my brothers 1500 peak amp unit did the job on his big trucks V8 with dead battery ,so i figured this unit with double that power should be good for my 5.0s battery until I can replace it. it has power to spare ,fired it right up and only dropped to 94% from100%. well worth having one. so easy to use and dependable starting power. plus has a nice carrying case for it I am very satisfied and happy with it and highly recommend it! P.S. I am on a limited income and try to find the best bang for my buck. this one is just that and has been great for the several months I've had and used it. 5 star+ rating . I never go out of town without it now. it has been reliable for dozens of jump starts in the 18 months I've had it! mine is holding its charge quite well too. I only have it in the hot/cold trunk when going somewhere otherwise it is stored inside the house next to f door ready to go.
