I've got a few USB chargers around the house, but with all the phones and other electronic devices here that always need charging it's always good to have another one available. This one is advertised as a 30W fast charger with a dual port setup and it also includes a 5-foot cable, which is a handy length for most situations. The build feels a bit light compared to some of the heavier duty chargers I already own. It’s not necessarily a bad thing, but it does make it feel a little less substantial. The included cord is also on the thinner side compared to some of my other USB-C cables. After plugging it in I noticed the charger did warm up slightly during use, but nothing that seemed excessive or concerning. When I plugged my Pixel 10 into the USB-C port it immediately showed fast charging on the phone, which is exactly what I expected. However, when I added a second device to the USB-A port, the Pixel dropped down to a much slower charge rate. That’s fairly typical behavior for many dual-port chargers, so it wasn’t surprising. For the price this isn’t a bad charger; it does feel a bit cheaper in build quality than some others I have, but it fast charges properly when using the USB-C port and works as advertised. Unfortunately the charging brick itself was dead on arrival for me. I tried it with my iPhone, my laptop, a second iPhone, and even my AirPods, and couldn't get it to charge a single one of them. The cable that came with it, however, works perfectly fine with other adapters, so at least that part of the package held up. The cable is simple plastic, not braided, nothing special, but it does the job. It's a real shame because the concept is solid, but the brick just didn't work right out of the box. Read more
