Leave out the shooter, it never works (would be awesome if it did) but I CANNOT KEEP MY CAT STOCKED IN FUZZY BALLS! This will be my 7TH Order since February, would be more but our kitten, Scout, didn't fully invest herself until April in the FUZZY BALLS! Scout is from a feral colony and since she got addicted to the fuzzy balls, her interaction with us and the other cats has increased positively and dramatically! She comes to me all day and night, looking for another ball. We tried "recycling" them, by putting "old" ones back in the drawer and throwing them again. That doesn't' fly. Scout KNOWS. I am grateful my husband adores her cause he has said buy all the balls she wants lol so springing for 3 packages in one order now. So that's 270 balls. My cat likes the balls that this toy shoots. I like them too because I don't have to throw them. My shoulder is sore enough already. I thought about giving four stars instead of five because the little plastic gun itself is pretty lightweight and it would not last two minutes with my nine-year-old and 12-year-old grandsons. But they are not shooting this I am. I also gave it five stars because my cat does like to play with it. There are so many things he just ignores. I would give this five stars for how much my kitten loved this toy. Four stars because it is simple but it took a little figuring out that you have to push in the disc in the barrel with your finger to be able to put the pompom in. Three stars for the quality of the item. It's a very thin lightweight plastic and doesn't feel well made. Not very sturdy at all. I'm sure a drop on tile or uncovered flooring would make it at very least crack. On the plus side, the pompoms are very colorful which my kitten found very entertaining and played with them for a while before I had to make the next shot. I wouldn't shoot at the kitten but she jumped in front of the flying pompom and it didn't seem to have any affect. My cat (just over 1 year now) absolutely LOVES these fuzzy balls. I have bought her several sizes and I don't know where she hides them but she loves waiting for this gun to come out and running and jumping at the balls. They're easy for her to carry around, they're durable, no breakdown so far. Colors are quite pretty. These would be too small, imho, to be safely played with by a dog, small enough to be easily ingested, although my dog would like to play with them, I don't allow him to. Cat however, she carries them around and unless she began to believe herself to be a snake, would not try to swallow these. My cat is addicted. Ive had it for less than a day so far and all he does is meow at me to play with him. The gun is cheap plastic, but so far it has withheld ~200 shoots so i’d say it’s quite durable. Extremely worth it but dont get it if you arent ready to play with your cat 24/7! Read more
