This charger works perfectly for my Samsung A 35. It charges really fast and is only HALF the price of what Boost charges. I can't honestly say it will charge ALL phones, but it charges mine just fine. The one tiny thing I would change, however, is the cord. The cord works, it's just really short. There's nothing like plugging in your battery-hog phone to a USB C port and seeing the Turbo Charging message of it charging rapidly. I have had similar 2-port products in the past; one was stolen and the two fried in less than a year. I am hopeful that this one will last a lot longer. It seems sturdy, even with the fold out prongs. The only minor problem I have is that the prongs fold out to the direct center and I can't fit it beside another charging block on my extension cord. But if you're not using a cheap extension cord, it shouldn't be a problem. Read more

I ordered this $19 Omnibar 35 watt charger (Amazon ASIN B0DQ7XFYQB) with the included 60-Watt four-foot-long USB-C to USB-C cable because it is a good compromise on size and power. I really like this charger, but what I also like, which is rare, as I review a LOT of Amazon items, is that the listing is honest in what it does, in terms of how many amps of current (or watts of power) it delivers under a variety of circumstances. It's refreshing, actually, to see the listing spell out the difference in power output when one output is used versus when two are being used. I generally dislike plugs whose pins fold down as they often collapse when in use. But this foldable-pin charger is different. In a good way. The two blades fold out of the way, of course, but they are noticeably difficult to fold (which is a good thing), and then they suddenly fold, with force, with a satisfying click. That's good because it means there is some internal physical mechanism to prevent accidental retraction of the blades. I measured the physical size of this charger as it sticks out about 1-3/4 inches from the wall, and it is about 1-1/4 inches wide by about 1-1/2 inches tall. Unlike some chargers where the prongs are on the ends so the charger overlaps outlets, this charger has the blades exactly in the middle, which means in some cases it will interfere with other plugs, depending on how large those other plugs happen to be. The technical specifications in the user guide that came with the unit also say: Protocol Support: BC1.2, DCP, Apple2.4, QC2.0, QC3.0, AFC, FCP, PD2.0, PD3.0, PPS That alphabet soup means this charger supports a wide range of charging protocols, including: BC1.2 (for higher charging currents over basic USB), DCP (for dedicated charging ports), Apple 2.4A (for faster Apple device charging), QC2.0/3.0 (Qualcomm's Quick Charge), AFC (Samsung's Adaptive Fast Charging), FCP (Huawei's Fast Charge Protocol), PD2.0/3.0 (USB-C Power Delivery), and PPS (Programmable Power Supply for more efficient charging). These specs can be confusing so I'll summarize for you that if just the USB-C port is being used, then the maximum power output will be 35 Watts out of the USB-C port (with the USB A port unused). The maximum output out of the USB-A port is 18 Watts. If both USB-A and USB-C are being used, then both ports will provide 5 volts with the 3 Amps distributed among both those ports. That is, The charger's internal circuitry will manage how that 3 amps is divided between the USB-A and USB-C ports, depending on the devices connected and their power requirements. On the box it explains the 60 Watts is calculated for the cable because the USB-C to USB-C at 20V at 3Amps is 60 Watts. If all that wasn't confusing enough, there are a plethora of symbols on the charger and on the box which you have to go back to school to decipher. ETL(us,c) = Means it meets the safety standards of the US and Canada. Intertek = they're the testing and certification company. 5008028 = is the specific certification number for chargers. VI in a circle = means this charger meets the latest energy efficiency standard of the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) for external power supplies. Double Square Symbol = indicates the charger is double insulated, so it doesn't need a ground prong. TUV SUD Mark with 500 = this charger meets Germany safety standards (Technischer Überwachungsverein Süd). PSE Mark = the charger meets the Japanese Product Safety of Electrical Appliances & Materials (PSE) safety standards. FC Mark = the charger complies with Federal Communications Commission (FCC) regulations regarding electromagnetic interference. Trash Can Symbol with an "X" = this is the "do not dispose of in general trash" symbol indicating the charger should be disposed of properly according to local electronic waste recycling guidelines. House Symbol = this means it's not for outdoor use - it's for indoor use. And the Japanese characters translate to the Japanese company name, "Fika Japan Co., Ltd.", which, is interesting as the product is stamped "Made in China". Again, as with the prior alphabet soup on supported protocols, these symbols collectively assure you that the charger has been tested and certified for safety and compliance with various international standards. Overall, this is a very nice charger for the price, as it meets just about every standard you could ask it to comply with for a 35 Watt charger and four foot long USB-C to USB-C charging cord.
