For years, the floor under my desk in the Patrick Workshop has been a love-hate story. The heavy-duty vinyl looks sharp - patterned like steel plate - but those nubs love to nab the wheels on my commercial duty chair. And this isn’t some office-supply special. My chair is a 7-wheeled, 100-pound monster that’s been with me for years. It doesn’t wear out, but boy does it fight me on the roll. I’ve burned through plastic mats before. They curl, creep, deform and eventually make the rolling worse. I needed mass and durability. My desk bay measures 47" wide by 85" long, and with about 30" of that length not even in play, finding a mat that fit without hiring a custom glass cutter was near impossible. When I saw this 46" x 55" tempered glass mat, I couldn’t hit the purchase button fast enough. At 62 pounds, this slab isn’t going anywhere. Once it was down, the chair just glided - like butter on a hot griddle. The edges are rounded and polished, so no hazards lurking at the corners. It’s tempered glass, so tough, though I’ll admit I haven’t tested it with a ball peen hammer (and don’t intend to). I’m careful with it, but confident it’s going to outlast me. Normally I don’t dwell on packaging, but shipping a 62-pound sheet of glass is no small feat. QUEENLINK shipped it in reinforced honeycomb cardboard with internal ribs, light but stiff. The cardboard itself weighed less than two pounds, but it worked. The corner protectors really saved the day too - my unit clearly took a hit on a corner during shipping, but the glass came through unscathed. That’s good planning in action. Summary: This glass chair mat solved the roll problem my vinyl floor created, stood up to my heavy chair without budging, and arrived intact thanks to thoughtful packaging. It’s exactly the kind of “buy it once and be done” solution I like. Pros: ✅ Smooth, effortless rolling for even heavy chairs ✅ 62 lbs of tempered glass means it stays put ✅ Perfect size for odd desk bay dimensions ✅ Rounded, polished edges for safety ✅ Outstanding packaging with corner protectors and honeycomb cardboard Cons: ❌ Not something you’ll want to move around much at 62 lbs ❌ Tempered glass is tough, but I’m still cautious about drops 🏅 Verdict: A rock-solid 5-star solution for anyone tired of flimsy mats and fighting their chair wheels. This one earns its keep. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (5 out of 5) Read more

Surprisingly strong and super smooth sliding. I got this for my 16 year old son's computer chair. His expensive chair was being used on top of carpet and this freed up his movement. The glass is delivered in a solid and thin box that was surprisingly strong and well done for the size. This larger piece of glass is of good quality. I stored on my concrete garage floor for a bit and moved it around during a building project with no issues. Seems to be quite strong. The only thing you need to consider is how much your chair needs to move as it might be too easy to glide on glass. Not slip but roll. If you need your feet up in the chair just consider if you need resistance from you chair if you don't have wheel brakes as the glass is very flat and will not provide any. For that reason my son didn't want it but I loved it. Read more

This tempered glass chair mat came very well packed. It is quite heavy and also oversized so you should know it is a two man lift. This is not our first glass mat. We also own a Lorrell which we purchased about six years ago and has held up well. The Lorrell is .05 inches thicker, but I don't see any difference in quality. The Queenlink being reviewed here comes with stick on dots to help it stay firmly in place on carpet. Makes sure you measure the width of the desk where you will place it if you want part of the glass to be underneath the desk itself. It works very well and is thick enough where I did not see any bending of the glass as we were putting it in place. The edges are rounded as seen in my photos. I highly recommend this chair mat. This tempered glass chair mat has completely transformed my home office setup. From the moment I unboxed it, I was struck by its sleek, modern design and crystal-clear finish—it brings a level of sophistication that plastic mats simply can't offer. Weighing nearly 50 pounds, it’s impressively solid and built to last. The beveled edges add a refined touch, and the tempered glass feels incredibly sturdy, easily supporting my rolling chair without any dents, warping, or cracking under pressure. While it does slide slightly on carpet—even with the small rubber grips underneath—it’s clearly designed for heavy-duty use and feels like it’ll hold up for years. Cleaning is a breeze; unlike traditional mats that get cloudy or scratched, this one stays pristine with just a quick wipe. No more worrying about scuff marks or embedded dirt. The surface is perfectly smooth, allowing my chair to glide effortlessly—like rolling on ice. There’s no resistance, no noise, just seamless movement. It also complements any décor beautifully, adding a premium feel to the space while protecting the floors without sacrificing style. Whether your floors are hardwood, tile, or carpet, this mat is a standout choice. If you’re fed up with flimsy plastic mats that crack, curl, or look cheap, upgrading to this tempered glass version is a game-changer. Read more
