Another 365 frozen veggie I’ve come to depend on! This is a delicious mushroom blend that is always fresh and ready in my freezer. Considering I don’t have to spend any time prepping these and I don’t have to throw any parts away, these are a great value for the money. I had been avoiding mushrooms for a long time simply because I didn’t want to bother with cleaning them, and now I don’t have to! These always look fresh, correct coloring, no bad spots, and they hold up well when cooked, not turning to mush. My favorite is adding these to a cauliflower soup I make often in the autumn. I always have a few bags of these in my freezer. The mushrooms are top-quality and there’s a great mixture (not just common white mushrooms), some of them which are hard to find. Surprisingly pretty good for a product I never thought would be edible if frozen. These mushrooms were originally bought to fix mushroom risotto, but realized too late I didn’t have enough Arborio Rice. So one night, I sautéd some in butter and added them to fresh steamed green beans for a veggie plate for dinner. Very tasty. Also added them to a mushroom marinara pasta sauce that just didn't have enough mushrooms - immediate improvement! These are assorted mushrooms, so much more economical than buying several kinds of fresh so could be worth keeping in your freezer depending on what you prepare for regular meals. Read more
