I purchased this transparent double-sided tape because I needed to install some decorative items at home, such as acrylic signs and small panels, but didn’t want to drill holes in the walls or glass. I had used regular double-sided tape before, but it wasn’t sticky enough and tended to fall off over time. When I saw this high-strength transparent tape, I decided to try it, hoping it would be both secure and visually clean. First I wanna start by saying I absolutely LOVE this tape! Any 3M branded adhesive is always top notch and I’ve never been disappointed or let down by anything that they offer. This double sided tape is thick and strong and will stick to just about anything assuming it’s properly cleaned first so that there isn’t any dust or dirt or other residue. Whenever I use it I clean both parts that I’m using the tape on and after applying I try to clamp it down or use a weighted object to really hold them together for about 20min. It’s probably unnecessary but I do so to make sure and I’ve never had any issues. The only thing that bugs me is how hard it is to remove the red paper from the one side. I get that it should be hard to take off but it feels almost impossible at times and it would be nice if they could find a way to make it a bit easier to peel off. I love this 3M double-sided tape!! Instead of being a thin tape like so many others are, this tape has a bit of thickness to it -- as if there is a tiny cushion between the layers of sticky tape. While this tape is indicated to be used for mounting, I actually use it in several of my crafting projects. It is PERFECT for adhering a "sheet" of flat stitched beads to a metal bracelet form with the bit of cushion allowing for a foundation that the beads can be pressed into assuring they adhere straight & exactly where I want them to lay. It is the same when I make my faux leather clutch bracelets which I edge with either decorative threads or beads. I have tried many double-sided tapes in my pursuit for one that works to mount my bead & faux leather work to the bracelet & earring blanks I use & the only one that continues to work over & over (and has for years) is this 3M mounting tape. The Scott 3M brand is well known and for good reason. Price point is a bit steep, but it's name brand. I was looking for an upgrade to nano tape which I use to secure seasonal decorative frame in my front porch. Our house is situated in such a way that there always seems to be a wind tunnel and my frames get whipped around, dropped and broken. This 3M double sided heavy duty tape is not as thick as nano tape but it still did have a bit of thickness to it. This adhered well to the back of my seasonal decorative frames and the siding of our house (which I have hanging on a hook designed for siding). I hope this works better than the nano tape which eventually stops working either due to the extreme heat or the extreme cold temps. So far so good. They say to use isopropyl to remove. Haven't had the need to remove yet but will come back to revise this review should I have an issues. I will say that it was a bit troublesome to remove the top layer. You do not get the metal tool from the product description. I used my hand and it did take a lot of patience and persistence. Read more

I used this for mounting some trim pieces and a few items around the garage, and the hold is seriously strong once it sets. It’s nice being able to get a clean install without drilling holes, and the clear tape keeps everything looking neat and almost invisible. It sticks well to a variety of surfaces as long as they’re prepped properly. Once it’s on, it’s not going anywhere, so you definitely want to line things up right the first time. It’s held up well to heat and humidity without peeling, which is important here in Florida, and overall it’s a great option when you need a durable, long-lasting bond. Read more

This VHB tape sticks as well as all the other VHB tapes ive had in the past. Its as thin as it gets which is just what i needed. High quality hold for sure. I used it first to hold on a paper towel holder to the underside of some painted wood and it holds amazingly well. I even tugged on it harder than i normally would and it adhered perfectly. Also it dries quickly and stays tacky even if you get it wet! Great stuff and an unbeatable price. Read more
