These are literally the best insertable earplugs I've ever used. The sound is essentially blocked completely to the point where someone was ringing my doorbell and pounding on my door and I didn't hear a thing, and I have great hearing and can usually hear things through previous earplugs I've worn, but not these! I've worked in an industrial setting where hearing protection is required in numerous areas, and these are better than every version I've used in an industrial setting. I've also been able to wear these comfortably all day without feeling like I have to remove them to give my ears a break. Most insertable earplugs I have to take out every few hours to let my inner ear canal to rest, but I don't have that issue with these. Read more
I have used several brands of earplugs over the years for sleeping. These are by far the best. I have a noisy family, and I live in a place with a lot of birds. Previously, I was using shooting-grade earplugs for sleeping. In this review I will be talking about why sleeping earplugs will work better, even if they have slightly less noise cancellation. Shooting earplugs work great for blocking noise, but not for sleeping. They use a very stiff type of foam that will crinkle in your ear if you sleep on your side and it moves around or gets compressed by anything, like if it's sticking out of your ear and touches the bed. They are very firm and will put so much pressure on your ears that it can be painful and wake you up, and leave your ears sore the next morning. All of these issues get worse as they get older. Plus, all types of foam tend to deform and bloat in size really easily if you reuse them long enough, which makes foam earplugs very uncomfortable if it is a firm type of foam. Sleeping earplugs have NONE of these problems. The foam stays soft, even when it gets well-worn and bloated. There is almost no crinkling at all. Firm earplugs will crinkle for a very long time (10+ minutes) after compression. This is because the firmness makes them take a long time to regain shape. These soft ones regain shape almost instantly, and I only hear crinkling for 15-30 seconds after significant compression. Although these block slightly less noise than shooting-grade ones, it is worth it to avoid all the problems that super-firm, shooting-grade earplugs can cause. As you would expect from 3M, the foam also seems very high-quality and hasn't had flaking issues like I had with some other brands. These are perfect to wear for long periods of time. I can easily wear them for 10+ hours without feeling any discomfort. Read more

I love my husband but his snoring is loud enough to wake the dead, so I got these earplugs in hopes that I could sleep in our bed and actually get a decent night’s rest. These do a pretty good job of blocking out the noise, but unfortunately nothing will give me complete peace and quiet other than sleeping in the spare bedroom :( These are comfortable to wear all night, even though I’m a side sleeper, and I like all of the bright colors. I also use them when using the vacuum, blender, or other loud appliances, and they work great at blocking out the sounds from those. All in all I’m glad I ordered these and will continue to use them as needed. Read more
I've always had issues with earbuds - earbuds that everyone loves just doesn't stay in my ear. even if they manage to "hook in", there's usually a gap of some kind, making it super hard to really use. It took until buying these earplugs (and reading the reviews talking about these being for smaller ears), that I realize that I actually have small ears LOL For the record I have tried other earplugs before and they always had the issue of falling out of my ear as well (same issue as earbuds), so if those were standard sized earplugs, then I think this explains everything! goodness the kind of epiphany you learn about yourself when buying from amazon. in any case, I really liked that there isn't a boatload of earplugs in this set, and it's still ultra affordable/cheap and not inflated in price for not being bulk sized. They're squishy and foams up nicely, and they were able to block about 80% of train horns blasting outside my window (my windows are double paned but doesn't block the train noises out completely, of course they don't). I got these because the tracks outside my condo started to have more frequent overnight train deliveries, and they're obligated to blast the damned horns at every crossing - even at 4am. In any case, for anyone else who had issues with earbuds not staying in, but find these earplugs fits perfectly, I recommend getting the Panasonic ErgoFit In-Ear Earbud Headphones RP-HJE120-K here on amazon - those are the only earbuds that fits my ear perfectly. These are great and I continue to use them regularly. My only complaint (not enough to demote it to four stars) is that a decent amount (10+ per bag) are low quality. They are either deformed or not nearly as firm as they should be and they ultimately don't seal well. Read more
I purchased these last minute for a concert I was going to. I am so glad I did. I found the sound quality was still so great wearing these through the concert and they saved my ears from ringing afterwards. They are really comfy to use and easy to pop in. I would definitely purchase again for any loud event to save my hearing! Read more
