These are like pencils made of wax! You use a sharpener (that comes with) to sharpen the point and viola! I had a picker from memory keepers but it was mainly plastic with a small amount of wax and much more expensive than this (and I couldn’t find refills for it). These “pencils” pick up the tiny pearls and crystal gems i glue on items like baskets and cards . I am sure they would work for “diamond dots” and things like that.
