Back in my day, leg warmers looked a lot diferent! I wasn't entirely sure if this was the aesthetic my teen liked, but they do like wearing skirts and it's getting colder, so I figured it was worth a shot. I even tried a pair myself when my feet got a little too cold the other day. Personally, I think they kind of look ridiculous, at least on me, but they are stretchy, warm, and comfortable to wear. My teenager is actually kind of obsessed with them and has been wearing them constantly. They have kind of a cottagecore/emo/goth/anime aesthetic most of the time, and were especially pleased by the pair with the stars and the little skull. I asked them if they were worried about tripping or stepping on them, and they said the socks stay in place really well without falling. We did wash them on the delicate cycle with Woolite and cold water and laid them flat to dry, and they were fine. I don't always understand my kids' aesthetic, but I'm happy when I get it right, and it sure seems like I did with these. All 4 patterns are exactly as pictured. The bottoms of the leg warmers are looser fit to add to the scrunched look. I’m not sure how the stars will hold up to washing but I’d recommend washing inside out. The biggest concern I have is the pilling.
