The first thing I really noticed in this listing was how weird the beard looked. It doesn't improve in person. I have to give credit to the seller for not hiding that fact. I've never been one to wear a St Paddy's day costume, and wouldn't really feel right doing the leprechaun thing. That's why I decided to try this out. The white under-robe is a skirt that is very stretchable. I'm in the 2XL range and this fit around my waist just fine. The upper vestments are structured as essentially a poncho style (single sheet with a hole in the center). I found it had no issue going over my head, but it left enough of a dip around my neck hanging off my shoulders that I decided I needed to have another shirt underneath. The open arms are another reason you should consider having an undershirt (or not depending on your proclivities). The fabric all the way around is very clearly meant for infrequent costume usage instead of anything more dramatic. The gold sections show a lot of wrinkles (not creases though) which will not be avoidable. The beard is weird enough I may just opt to go with my own beard and possibly just use a short term reddish dye. I'm a little surprised that it is machine washable, but that seems to be correct (absent the beard). Read more

I bought this with zero expectations of it actually fitting my St. Patrick obsessed 6 year old since it is clearly an adult men’s costume. That said, it is absolutely hilarious on her and she loves it. The costume itself is surprisingly well made. The robe and hat look great together, and it really creates the full Saint Patrick look. For a novelty holiday costume, the quality exceeded my expectations. The beard is a little scratchy, but that is honestly to be expected with a faux beard like this.
