The hub works great and is a nice size with adequate cord length. My review is mainly to address a curious port that I noticed on the back side of the hub. I have a similar port on another hub I use. My curiosity led me to find out what purpose it serves. Turns out it can be used to supply extra power for external hard drives and other powered peripherals. Here's some info from Google: "The power input port on the back of a USB hub, typically a small circular DC barrel jack, is designed for an external AC/DC power adapter, ensuring stable power for high-draw peripherals. This "powered" hub prevents overloading the host computer's USB port, supporting devices like external hard drives and fast-charging phones." Excellent hub for the money. The extra long cord makes it easy to position. You can charge through it if you have you computer set up for USB charging. It has a DC input connection but no AC/DC converter unit and not idea what voltage and current it would need. Read more
