I got this 42 in 1 Magnetic Screwdriver Set with Ratcheting Handle by GETLMUL for basic repairs around the house and small DIY tasks. First impression — everything comes in a compact case, and all the bits are neatly organized. The set includes 42 pieces, and from what’s shown, there are multiple head types like Phillips, flathead, Torx, and hex, which makes it versatile for different types of work. The ratcheting handle is one of the most useful features here. It allows you to tighten or loosen screws without constantly repositioning your hand, which makes the process smoother and less tiring. You can switch directions easily, which is practical during longer tasks. Another detail I noticed is the magnetic bits. They hold screws in place, which helps especially when working in tight or awkward spaces. It reduces the chance of dropping small screws. The materials are listed as metal and plastic, and visually the bits look solid while the handle has a non-slip grip. It feels designed for regular use, not just occasional fixes. The case itself keeps everything organized, so you don’t lose pieces. That’s important for a set with this many components. On the downside, this is still a compact kit, so it’s more suited for electronics, furniture assembly, bicycles, and light DIY, not heavy-duty work. Overall, this is a practical and well-organized screwdriver set that works well for everyday tasks and small repairs. Read more

While I’m no longer a professional mechanic, I work on a lot of projects around the house, on the road, in the yard, out in the barn, and in the garage. This compact bit and driver set is a game-changer. It utilizes the high quality bits - not those dark grey soft bits, but the lighter gray ones with a machined mid-point. I’m not sure what they’re called, but for me there are two basic styles of bit, the super cheap ones and the good ones - these are the good ones. The bit sizes and styles are good for most projects, including basic hex, Torx, Phillips, and slotted. The sizes included cover most smaller applications, from appliances like washing machines and dishwashers, through to computers, bicycles, and door handles. There is a selection of longer bits, likely included to get to deeply recessed fasteners - that’s cool. Opposed to having to jam an extension shaft into a well, a slim, extended bit is appreciated. But here’s where this set gets really awesome. First, the case is top notch, with a real hinge, bit labels, and a magnetic closure. Keeping sets organized is pivotal - it’s annoying when a set gets to be a mess - it’s easy to keep this set in tact. Next, it’s about the innovative driver. It does everything - it can be an extension, driver, t-handle, or ratchet (with forward and reverse). Each of the driver components is magnetic. This is a buy-it-for-life product and I’m very impressed. I can only think of one thing that would make this set better - that would be a driver handle. However, that would increase the set’s size considerably. While the set is more expensive than some, it’s certainly cheaper than tool truck prices, and the cost to value ratio is there. Read more

I bought this compact 42-in-1 bit and driver set for my husband and it is a fantastic addition to his tools. The bits themselves feel high quality and durable, and the variety included covers most everyday projects. You get the essential hex, Torx, Phillips, and slotted sizes, and the different bit lengths make it easy to tackle a range of tasks, from tight spaces to more open work areas. The real star of the set is the driver. It’s incredibly versatile—you can use it as a standard driver, an extension, a T-handle, or a ratchet with both forward and reverse settings. That flexibility makes it much more than a basic screwdriver and really sets this kit apart. One thing to note: the ratcheting mechanism is located in the middle of the T-grip, and depending on how you’re holding it, it can be bumped and accidentally switched. It’s not a dealbreaker, but it’s something to be aware of during use. I also appreciate that everything is magnetic, including the case itself. So far, I haven’t had any issues with bits falling out or shifting around. That said, I do think two additions would make this set even better: a dedicated driver handle and an external latch on the case. The magnetic closure works well, but if I were tossing this into a tool bag or truck, I’d feel more confident with an added latch for extra security. Overall, this is a handy, well-designed kit that’s compact yet highly functional. It would make a great gift for any DIY enthusiast or a practical upgrade for your own tool collection and I highly recommend it. Read more

This is a nice magnetic ratcheting set. There are a lot of different configurations with the handle that you can use in different situations. Making it really versatile and very useful in a lot of different scenarios. The bits are OK. I put a good amount of torque by hand on a few of these bits and I did break one of the flat tip bits and one of the Phillips head bits. Was that being said I still think this is a good set because I did put a good amount of torque on them trying to see what they could take. I was surprised that the ratchet showed no signs of slipping or giving out. It catches very nicely it has a nice audible click and the T handle makes it super easy to use and just about any configuration. This is one of those sets is very nice to have in the drawer as a "go to" set. The magnetic tips in the magnetization box makes it even better. I was working with small screws, tiny ones in fact the ones that you always fumble in your fingers and lose on the floor. I did not have to worry about losing them they stayed right on the tips of the bits. Nice little case to keep everything nice and organized it would be nice if it had a little latch on there though because I did drop it and most of the bits fell out. That being said I would still recommend it and still give it five stars for its versatility and overall quality. Read more
