Don't know what else to say. I had injectors removed from a high mileage (180k+ mile) 2000 Explorer 5.0L V8. Didn't want to reinstall without testing and installing new o-rings. This kit with filters was only a few bucks more, so I decided why not. Can't say how it improved the injector because I didn't didn't do a before test. I can say that I removed the original filters with a wood screw. Ran the injectors through an ultrasonic bath full of seafoam. I don't remember if I tested before or after I reinstalled this kit and new filter baskets, but the spray pattern was good. I can't say anything I did helped with no before test, but I have peace of mind knowing that they work well before reinstalling and have clean new filter baskets and o-rings installed. Read more

This kit should work fine, but I can at least say that the pintle caps are not a direct replacement for CM4978 injector (part no. 0280156048). I can't compare the screen as the originals were destroyed on removal. Pintle caps took some pressing to get on, but once on, they're not coming off. So ultimately, this lit should work fine. O-rings work fine, no issues there. Read more

I ordered this kit to rehab the fuel injectors on the family 2003 Mercury Grand Marquis. All the parts fit and the project outcome was good. Removing the injector strainer screens was a bit challenging. I placed a #10 screw into the vice and spun the old strainer until tight. It took quite a bit of pulling and rocking before they came out. Use a plastic mallet to tap the new strainers into the injector. Read more
