Little heavy, so you need 2 people to take it (45 x 55) out of the box and put it in the right spot. Once it was on the low pile carpet, it works great. It does not slide, perhaps could not slide due to the weight; did not have to use the 4 pads that it came with. The pads are likely needed if it is not on a carpet. Have had it for a week and feel it is worth every penny. Ordered another one (smaller size) for my wife's smaller desk. Love it. The chair slides well; no issues. Never liked the plastic one much as it would always curl and never felt right. It had small spikes that hurt the hand when you had to move that mat. UPDATE: Ordered the smaller one (32 x 48) for my wife. Looks great. It was lighter than the larger one (45 x 55), so one person could handle it. The smaller one is noticeably thinner than the larger one, but still feels solid. Per description, the larger one is 0.20" thick vs 0.16" thick for the smaller one. Read more

There was an issue with delivery but Amazon worked with me and was going resend replacement when the package was delivered by my neighbor who had for 2 days (unopened). Apparently UPS delivered to wrong address. The glass tempered mat is really nice, surprisingly sturdy, rounded shape are smooth. Cool chair mat. The chair mat comes with a uniformed big glass and protects the floor very well. It is much more durable than I thought, it can fit a 170lb person and an office chair without any problem.
