a very complete thread chaser kit
this is a very complete thread chaser kit for everyday home use. it has about all the size threads (male & female) you would find in most consumer products. these chasers are designed to make galled threads useable again and for that purpose it should work well. the only threads that it won't fix are hardened threads. i like that the kit comes with thread files. they are very handy fixing male threads that the chasers can't get too. Works great from my basic initial testing, very aesthetically organized kit. Good value
Very complete set with basically every size you functionally will commonly need. Has all types of tools to chase and repair mucked up threads both interior and exterior. Build quality of the actual tools is good as far as I can feel. I gathered a little pile of random dirty fasteners, identified the correct threads, and then test fit them to these tools. I was able to see built up grime and or some very thin shavings of metal being picked up and off. All fasteners that were super rusty or mucked up I was able to restore to at least a point where I could thread things together albeit a little resistance. So overall, from my basic testing, works fantastic! Hopefully when I am approached with a real world need for this I will have it ready to rock and I will remember how to properly chase and repair the threads. Good value in my opinion especially considering the organized, tidy case with well laid out chart with clear line drawings. Overall one of the most cosmetically and aesthetically pleasing tool sets I have. At $40 I think it's a great value. Read more
