ASTONISHINGLY BRIGHT LED LINEAR HIGH BAY SHOP LIGHT FIXTURE!
This Run Bison brand LED linear high bay light is a good heavy-duty light fixture, consuming three hundred watts of electricity, but providing a whopping 40,500 lumens of illumination at 5,000 Kelvin color temperature. The steel housing serves to absorb and radiate away the heat generated by the LEDs and the control circuitry, and the non-yellowing polycarbonate frosted diffuser lens serves to seal out dust and moisture, while smoothing out the light created. The fixture measures about 46 inches long, and about thirteen inches wide. It measures about 3 ½ inches thick, or slightly more. It does weigh a bit, but nothing so much as to make installing it difficult. The total weight, including shipping packaging, is about twenty pounds. It is possible to dim this fixture, should you wish to, but you will have to purchase a separate 0/1-volt to 10-volt dimming controller to do so. It is important to be sure you get a compatible dimmer control for this light, if you wish to make use of this feature. Installing this LED high bay light is pretty simple. It hangs up via the included Vee-hooks and chains, and it connects to a standard 110-120 volt electric circuit using the standard three wires (hot, neutral and ground). You will want to control the circuit with a standard wall switch or timer. The linear design means that the light created is naturally spread across a wider area than other high bay light designs. Even so, it is recommended that a light this bright be hung up quite high, maybe as high as 35 feet, if that be possible. That allows the substantial light produced at a 120-degree beam angle to spread across a wider area. This is a good, astonishingly bright LED linear high bay light. As all these fixtures do, this light produces an amazing amount of light for the amount of electricity consumed. It is rated to last for about 50,000 hours of service life, or years and years at three to five hours of light per day. I am going to install mine in my garage shop, using a compatible dimmer, where it will provide all the light I need, day and night. I recommend it! Read more
