I got this because I needed a way to monitor a spot where I don’t have WiFi at all. I liked that this one already came with a SIM card and didn’t need to be hooked up to my home network. I gave it a full charge, then I inserted the SIM, and after following the app setup, it was already recording movement and sending alerts to my phone. The camera is small, and I have been keeping it in my back porch in a shaded area, and I did not have to mount it permanently, I just used the base and moved it around a couple times until I found a better angle, and it’s held up fine so far. The night vision turns on automatically, and the clips are clear enough for me to see what is going on even when it gets a little bit dark. I haven’t pushed the battery to 20 days yet, but it lasts a good couple of days before I need to charge it again, depending on how much motion it picks up, so I’m glad that I got this mini camera. I bought this camera specifically for a rural property where there’s no WiFi coverage, and I’ve been very impressed by how well it works right out of the box. The fact that it comes with a SIM card and runs on 4G LTE is great, I was getting live footage and motion alerts within minutes of setup. The 2K image quality is sharp enough to clearly identify people and animals even from a distance. I was skeptical about the “mini lens” at first, but it actually captures a wider and clearer view than expected for its compact size. The night vision is reliable up to around 30 feet, and motion detection is accurate, no constant false alarms from branches or bugs. Battery life is solid. I’ve been testing it in motion-triggered mode, and it’s been going strong for over two weeks on a single charge. The standby claim of 20 days seems realistic depending on your settings. The 5200mAh battery is enough for short trips, property checks, or even monitoring a construction site temporarily. It’s also super portable. I’ve used it in multiple spots by just strapping it to a tree or a post. No tools needed. The app control is smooth, and the notifications arrive almost instantly when movement is detected. If you need a WiFi-free, plug-and-play solution for outdoor security or trail monitoring, this is one of the most convenient and dependable units I’ve used. Highly recommended for remote areas. I used this camera for a few fun months when I first got my new car. The connection always worked well and I was always able to view my camera live, but I didn’t think $20 a month was worth it after so long. Read more

This mini camera works better than I expected. I’ve been using it for a month now and haven’t had any issues. The setup was simple, and once I downloaded the companion app, I was able to monitor my room in real time without delays. The video quality is clear, and I’m impressed with the night vision feature. It works well—I can easily check on my cat’s activity at night, even in low light. The camera is compact and easy to place without being noticeable, making it a great option for discreet indoor monitoring. Read more

This is not a "trail cam" at sll, there's no way it would stand up to a tiny amount of wind, let alone rain. The plan is overpriced and probably doesn't support using your own reasonably priced data sim. Read more

This Boveila cellular trail camera has been perfect for monitoring my remote property without WiFi. The 4G LTE connection works reliably with my prepaid SIM card, sending clear 2K snapshots to my phone whenever motion is detected. The 5200mAh battery lasts weeks between charges, and the night vision captures surprisingly detailed images up to 32 feet away. I've used it to track wildlife patterns and keep an eye on equipment - the 8-inch lens gives a wide enough view without distortion. Setup was simpler than expected thanks to the intuitive app. Only note: make sure you have decent cell signal where you place it. For off-grid security or nature observation, this camera delivers professional features at a reasonable price. The peace of mind knowing what's happening miles from my home is worth every penny. Things I like: No WiFi needed: The built in SIM card capability means I can place the camera anywhere, even where WiFi isn’t available, and still get real time alerts and footage. Impressive 2K video quality: The video is sharp and clear, even at night with the 32ft PIR motion detection night vision. I can easily see details and identify people or animals. Long battery life: The 5200mAh battery lasts up to 20 days on standby, which is amazing for a portable security device. It means fewer recharges and more peace of mind. Compact and portable: The camera’s small size with the 8 inch mini lens makes it easy to hide or mount discreetly. Easy setup: Getting started was straightforward. The app is user friendly and lets me control settings, watch live feeds, and receive motion alerts instantly. Concerns: Requires SIM card and data plan: You need to manage a SIM card and data service, which is an ongoing cost compared to WiFi cameras. Motion sensitivity can be tricky: Sometimes it picks up small animals or moving branches, so you might need to adjust the PIR sensitivity or motion zones. Read more
