I sometimes attach my 10-year-old Toshiba Tecra laptop (running Windows 7) to my 15-20 year-old Polaroid flatscreen TV, using an old HDMI cable from my 10+ year old Sony blu-ray player. With that setup, I can view the Toshiba's MP4 files on my flatscreen TV. Then I used this new Soonsoonic HDMI extension cord, with a new Mogood HDMI coupler, to create an extension between the old HDMI cable and my Toshiba Tecra. It did not work. My Toshiba could not send signals to the TV through this extension setup. Then I used this same extension setup with my 1-year-old Lenovo laptop (running Windows 11). Now it worked. I was able to view MP4 files from the Lenovo on my old Polaroid flatscreen TV. So there's something in this extension setup (the Soonsoonic HDMI cable or the Mogood coupler) that doesn't like either my old Toshiba or Windows 7. But if you're running from a newer laptop, with Windows 11, you should have no problems. Read more

I don't normally write reviews, but I am so impressed with the price and quality of this 40-foot HDMI cable (and the packaging it came in), that I wanted to write a review to share my experience. I needed a 40-foot long HDMI cable to connect a new 1080p TV (it's not 4K) located in my home gym to a satellite TV receiver (with a 2-way HDMI splitter attached) located in a centralized A/V equipment closet in a hallway. When I was initially in a Best Buy store looking at long-run HDMI cables, I LOL at the prices ($200-$300 for a cable of equivalent length and specs). I said NOPE I'm going home and checking Amazon. So that's what I did. I did a lot of reading of reviews on various long-run HDMI cables sold on Amazon and ultimately decided on this one. Admittedly, I was a little worried that the cable may not work adequately for my 40-foot run that I needed it for. When it arrived, I was super impressed by the product packaging. (I'm one who pays great attention to details and cares about quality.) It came in sturdy box and the cable itself was packaged inside a thick sealed plastic pouch. Instead of using cheap "twisty ties" wrapped around the cable to keep it wound up, they used two velcro ties. That detail alone made me feel like this was a high-quality cable after all. They could've easily saved a few pennies and used those cheap twisty ties instead, but they chose not to. To me that speaks volumes about the quality (even though I fully realize the ties obviously have nothing to do with the HDMI cable itself). The 40-foot long HDMI cable I bought has worked flawlessly for me so far. It's a very sturdy cable. I ran it from my A/V equipment closet in the hallway, up the closet wall through the attic and down the wall in my home gym, connected to a wall-mounted 32-inch Samsung 1080p TV. I gotta say... for the price ($21.59 for 40 feet) and the quality, you just can't beat this! I would definitely recommend this brand to anyone who needs a long HDMI cable. Read more
