I like this little camera. I use it to watch my dogs when I’m away. It picks up their motion and produces a pretty high quality video (I can set the quality myself). I like that I can monitor the camera from anywhere right on my phone. The night vision feature is a real bonus. You can even zoom with this little thing. The camera is rechargeable and can be located pretty much anywhere. The app and instructions can be a bit confusing, but eventually everything got hooked up properly. The app does ask for a lot of personal information and wants access to things on my phone that I did not grant it access (camera, pics, etc.). It has a lot of cool features for the price point. The qr code and the printed info about the ID faded in just one day of usage, but otherwise it's fairly easy to connect to the camera. All I had to do was turn it on, reset it, and then connect to its wifi and I was basically done. The camera has pretty good night vision, so for outdoor use I'd trust this camera to do the job. However, the quality isn't very good despite being a 1920x1080 resolution. I don't think this camera could record a license plate because the quality isn't that good, but it's good enough to get a vague sense of activity as a security webcam. I actually was hoping I could use this as more like a dash cam, but realistically that won't work without a phone because there's only a power and reset button. Given I need the app on my phone to use the recording function manually, I might as well simply use my phone's app to record. The ability to screw the camera on is quite nice though. There's a Chinese 4k action camera I have that came with a suction cup and a screw on, and this camera fits onto it about halfway through the cup's threads. This is good for mounting then onto anywhere you'd need it, plus it comes with a taping part that it can mount onto from the box. The square length is about 3.7cm^2, which is not hidden but smaller than most webcams and is very portable fairly compact. The only concern I can only test with more usage is the battery life, as that concerns me given it's so small and a webcam. The usb-c port is very convent though where everything is becoming usb c supported. For a webcam, I'm not sure if the portability matters as much as video quality but considering it's $30, it's decently usable. I could see myself using this as a doorcam or for seeing broad activity outside/inside. Read more

Getting it set up took a little time and effort. Instructions aren't the clearest. Once it is set up though it works pretty well and the image is very clear. It has a micro SD available and had no problem accepting my 64 gb card and formatting it. Biggest complaint is just the instructions but keep at it and it will work. Read more

As a security camera, or as a monitoring camera for gear or to keep track of your 3D printing while you're away, the image quality is surprisingly good considering it's a super budget wifi camera. Okam pro is the software used for it. I have a few cameras on that app. A couple years ago it was awesome. Now it's full of ads, completely defeating the purpose of security imo. If I could give the app a score, it would be one star. The camera is a different story. Image is wide angle. It handles contrast well for the budget price- better than some far more expensive cameras I've ordered. So for me, I'm satisfied. Connecting to my home wifi was super easy using the app. I'm however not trusting the duration of the internal rechargeable battery. So, because this is going to be an indoor at all times camera fixed on equipment to monitor, I'm permanently connecting the USBc port to a charger when in use. The camera works as advertised. It doesn't make the best wearable cam or action camera. When fixed on a subject, it has a fairly smooth image. However, when in motion, it has a hard time not skipping frames. That's simply the nature of a budget 4k camera. If you plan on using it as advertised, it's totally worthy of recommendation. Great price and well made. A good bargain. Read more

This camera and mount appear to be good quality, but be aware that to use this camera you must download and app and create an account, which is presented as more of an option in the description. I opted to not agree to the privacy policy because it grants unusual rights to the manufacturer including to the phone microphone and to stored data on the camera SD drive (if used), amongst other things. They say they don’t “collect or store” the data but require it to use the camera. Read more
