Got this to ensure thunderbolt compatibility for a device at my work. It works well and priced in my budget. I tried 4k at 30Hz, and it was able to stream without any lags. The mini DP is compact and pretty hidden behind my machine. If you're gaming, I would recommend going the next level up at 60Hz. This setup was mainly for video stream and it did great. The media could not be loaded. It is what it is. It just works. Spec is right at it. 60 hz at 1080p. Not sure for 4k. I haven't tested enough. Just test it for few min. I bought this cable to use it with a 2012 Macbook pro with my 1080 monitor/tv. Read more
