I cook. A LOT. And I have so many recipes that need a Tbsp of this, and a Tbsp of that, and a Tbsp of another thing, etc. I'm not yet confident enough to be able to 'eyeball' a Tbsp of anything. I have a measuring spoon set, but sometimes the things to measure aren't compatible. For example: A Tbsp of thyme, then of sage, then of paprika? Fine, no problem, thyme or sage first, give the spoon a thumb wipe, then thyme or sage second, another thumb wipe, then paprika last because that is one CLINGY spice, let me tell you right now. But what if you also need 1 Tbsp of something messy, like mayonnaise or sour cream or relish? I don't trust the 'thumb wipe' to not impart any non-clingy herbs into those things. And heavens forbid, there's no way to do that in the opposite direction, short of fully washing and manually drying the spoon. So I got these. One of them actually lives in my container of chia seeds. It's nice to have it in there like a coffee scoop, while I have extras on hand for cooking other stuff. I checked these against the set I have, and they seem to be accurate. I haven't weighed results or anything, but the volume seems to check out. They have survived multiple dishwasher cycles with no issues. The handles are definitely a good length. I can reach right in for whatever I'm scooping. I'm deducting one star because of the 4 I got, the scoop part of one of them seems to be unfinished. It's very dull inside. I'm not confident to put that one in the dishwasher, so I always make sure to only use it for dry herbs/ spices (not paprika, SO CLINGY), and hand wash it when I need to.
