It's getting harder to just get what I want without all the extra added ingredients in any supplement. This product provides all the collagen types I want and none of the stuff that might put me over the top as I take a daily multivitamin. Some studies suggest if you take vitamin C with collagen, it will increase absorption and that is why often you see Vitamin C added - so I am taking this collagen with my daily multi that already has vitamin C. This product is a thirty day supply if you take the 3 recommended capsules for 1800 mg of collagen. I'm taking two for 1200 mg of collagen and it will last me 45 days - that's a good deal and good price point for this product, as compared with others. These have a very slight fish smell from the marine collagen but the capsules have no taste and zero aftertaste of fishiness. The quality is awesome as these are made in an GMP and FDA registered facility - that means they are subject to random audits - and the product is lab tested and made in the USA. The bottle I received shows an expiration in about a year and a half. These pills seem to weigh in around 800mg. A serving size of 3 capsules is supposed to deliver 1800mg of collagen, meaning 600mg per pill. That leaves 200mg for filler ingredients. I cut open one capsule and it tasted a lot like chicken. I cut open a separate capsule and it tasted a bit more like beef. Kind of an interesting mixture of ingredients with chicken / beef / fish and egg shell collagens. The flavor was not at all unpleasant and seems like it is probably fairly good quality, though because it is dehydrated it doesn't have a great tongue feel. It seems like the amount of filler may be a bit high in this product given the capsule itself is so lightweight it doesn't even register on my scale. I am always on the lookout for premium-quality collagen formulas. Not all are the same. But this one I think is decent.. it has all the collagen you need for hair, skin, joints, etc... it's a lot packed into one capsule. You take 3 per day so you can take 1 or 2 if you wish if youre getting collagen in whole foods that day. Bottle will last 1 month, but longer if you choose not to take 3 per day. I always like to choose my own dosage. Personally I don't like 1 a day supplements. If it's 2 per day I would take 1. This product is GMP tested which is important with so many supplements out there, I look for the GMP label which means it's third party tested for toxins. I bought these collagen capsules because they contain several different forms of collagen and are made in the USA in a GMP certified facility and are tested by a third party lab. It's important to me to know that what is on the label is what I'm getting so I've stopped buying any supplements made in China where the controls are so much looser. These pills were okay to swallow and I vastly prefer taking collagen in capsule form over drinking collagen powder dissolved in a liquid (which is unpalatable to me).
