Stylish Knock Box That Matches My Setup
The media could not be loaded. I’ve been using this knock box for a few weeks now and so far I really like it. I already own the Breville knock box in the same size, but I wanted something that matched my espresso accessories a bit better and this one fits the look perfectly. I was a little worried at first after seeing some reviews saying it makes a loud noise when knocking out the puck, but that hasn’t been my experience at all. Honestly, it all depends on how well you prepared your espresso shot, because a good puck should come out in one piece with a single tap. The color and wood pattern look great on my coffee station. I would personally prefer a solid wood tone, but even with the mixed pattern it still looks really nice next to my setup. So far it’s been working just as expected, and it definitely adds a nice touch to my espresso corner. Read more
Was worried, but we really like it!
I really liked the look of this wooden knock box, but I was worried since there were some not-so-great reviews. Indeed, it is wood, so there may be some fragility compared to stainless steel ones. However, my last one was stainless steel, and after a few years, the bolts stopped tightening, making it no longer functional. This one was half the price, prettier, and so far, works well. I don't hit this one as hard as the metal one, but the pucks still come out just fine. No dents or damage so far. I'm sure with time there will be wear, but I expect that with a natural wood product. So loud!!
The media could not be loaded. I really wanted to love this knock box, but I ended up having to replace it because of the noise! It is beautiful and good quality, easy to clean and works great, but it is unbearably loud when I hit the portafilter on it. I am including a video of the noise so you can hear it. Pros: •beautiful wood. Way prettier than other options like the black plastic ones •good quality, has held up great over a year or more of use. Cons: •it is so so loud!!! Everyone complained all the time when I used it, so much that my sister insisted on buying me a different one because she couldn’t stand me using this one. Read more
