Remember all those Rogaine commercials from the 90s? I do! I remember thinking at the time that it was a scam. How can you magically just regrow hair? Turns out minoxidil- the active ingredient in Rogaine- does exactly that. This product has the same concentration of minoxidil you’ll find in Rogaine- 5%- without the price tag that comes with a name brand. So, yes, it works. The key with this product is consistency. Apply daily and keep applying even after you get hair growth. Once you stop those follicles will disappear again. You also need to be very careful in where and how you apply this product. With an eye dropper bottle it’s easy to use too much or drop it in the wrong place. For small areas like eye brows, I recommend applying the solution to a clean makeup brush first and using that brush to apply the product to the area where you want to encourage hair growth. I've been using different types of minoxidil for my hair thinning and it has been slowly thickening my hair. I wanted to try this serum. It is a thick serum and light yellow in color. There is not much of a scent so it is good for those sensitive to aromas. It is fairly oily, but after a short period of time it does absorb into the scalp. It has medium viscosity. The directions say to wash and dry your hair before use but it also says to apply twice a day. I simply cannot wash my dry hair everyday, let alone twice a day. I suggest applying this oil before styling so it doesn't flatten your roots. It is somewhat easy to apply if you can part your hair enough to get to the scalp so it doesn't just absorb into the hair strand. I will continue to use this serum everyday. I did not have any side effects using this oily serum. At 1 ounce per bottle and approximately $10, I believe this is a good value for the money. Read more
This minoxidil with rosemary, ginsing and several other ingredients listed does not seem to have the scent I would expect from a liquid that contains those ingredients. The label indicating this can safely be used on newborns is scary. Read more
Minoxidil has science behind its ability to encourage hair growth. It is a serum that must be applied to the scalp to work. I have been applying after washing and drying my hair, letting it sink into my scalp before styling my hair. There is no benefit from getting this on hair. The challege is to get it into the scalp. I make parts from front to back with a comb, and use the dropper to apply the liquid with the dropper directly to the scalp. I rub it in with a silicone applicator designed for lip gloss. It spreads it out a bit and doesn't soak it up. This seems awkward at first, but the more you do it, the quicker you get, and you become a pro at it after a while. Definitely do this in front of a mirror. If you are willing to follow directions and keep using it correctly, you will see little baby hairs growing in that will keep growing and add to the number of visible hairs on your head. The key is to be consistent. Leave it out on your countertop if you are the type who forgets if you can't see it. You have to use it for it to work. It is an ongoing treatment, not a cure. If you stop using it, you will lose the benefits. The process is very gradual. Hair takes time to grow. Take before pictures so you can see the progress. You must be patient and persistent, but if you are, you should be rewarded. I recommend this to people willing to use it regularly. It works. Read more

At $10 minus a $2 coupon, your cost is just $8. the name product with the same quantity cost more than $30. If you ever wanted to give it a try, this oil might be worth it. i have been using it for 3 weeks now, obviously I cannot see anything growing more. Like with all Minoxidil products it s going to take 3-4 months to see new hair sprouting. Just a slight warning, you need to keep using Minoxidil forever unless you don’t care any more, if you stop your hair will fall out, even the newly grown ones.
