Fit my ten year old great! he is about a size 12 as 14 is a bit big but ofcourse many clothes in the boy youth section are 10/12 or 12/14 and the one is a little small and the other a little big. But these are just right an exact size 12. Comfy and not too short and good value for the money. Not too thin but light and breathable. Decent thickness to hold up but light and cool. I have written reviews in the past for these shorts. This pack was my favorite color combo aside from the fluorescent which I don’t see right now. Basically I ordered near 60 pairs in all different colors for my two boys 11/12 years old. The 12 year old has sensory issues and it is hard to be cool in middle school and not be able to wear jeans or certain other “stiff” materials…. These have worked out great. The xtra large size fits them both (4’11 106 lbs & 5’5” 100 lbs) oddly enough, they wash wonderful but most importantly they’re very comfortable according to them! They were them year around as we’re in a hot climate in the South East… so in the past 6 months it is literally almost only what they’ve worn. The shorts sill look new.
