I bought this 2-in-1 Nasal Hair Cutter set thinking it would be a simpler, more controlled alternative to an electric nose hair trimmer. The idea sounded good: manual, double-sided, no batteries, and supposedly easier to use—especially for someone like me who’s very aware of noses. For context, I’m Italian. I have a real nose, not a decorative one, and nose hair management is not optional if you want to walk around with any dignity. From a technical standpoint, here’s how these are supposed to work: You insert the cutter into the nostril, rotate or move it gently so the internal blades catch and trim the hair. Simple in theory. In reality? They did absolutely nothing. I tried multiple angles, different pressure, slow movements, faster movements—you name it. The blades didn’t grab hair, didn’t cut hair, and didn’t seem to do much of anything at all. No pulling, no trimming, no results. It was like waving a toothpick around and hoping for the best. I actually thought maybe I was doing something wrong, so I compared it to my regular electric trimmer. One pass with the electric trimmer did more than all five of these tools combined. For me, these were a complete waste of money. I used them once, put them down, and now they’re just sitting in a drawer taking up space—right next to other things I thought would be useful but weren’t. I was hoping for an easier, cleaner solution than an electric trimmer. Unfortunately, this is definitely not it. I wouldn’t recommend these to anyone who actually needs to manage nose hair, and I won’t be buying them again. Sometimes simple is good. Sometimes simple just doesn’t work. I’ve tried every electric option—round heads, flat heads—as well as scissors and tweezers. Ouch. I always wished someone would make a razor that actually fit inside the nose, and this is it. I suspect the negative reviews are from people not using it correctly. You get five small, double-sided single-blade razors. Just apply a little soap or shaving cream, angle the blade like a straight razor, and go gently. The plastic guards extend beyond the blade to prevent cuts, and when used properly, you get a very close shave. Read more

They mostly do what you expect, just not extremely well. In the ads, it looks like these cut the hairs smooth. They don't. They leave quite a bit of strubble. I ended up using my battery powered trimmer. That said, in a pinch, these would be better than nothing. On the positive, they take up very little space (so portable), and they are inexpensive.
