I’m 41 and have had Invisalign for about 12 weeks now, and can’t remove the aligners myself without a lot of fuss and pain and struggle. These are absolute life savers. It’s great that they come in a multipack because the pointed edge of the hook does wear down slightly over time. They also fit perfectly inside the Invisalign compact/cases, (the one my ortho gave was too big) so are work great on the go. This may seem like a silly thing to buy when you can just use your nails, but it's awesome. After tugging on my Invisalign for a few days, the skin under my nail ripped. That may not seem like a big deal, but when you do it to both index fingers, it becomes much harder to get them off, and you have to in order to eat. This saved my poor skin and nails, it's more hygienic, and there are multiples in case I drop one, misplace it, or break it. I would highly recommend these for anyone getting Invisalign or retainers. These aligner removal tools get the job done and help make taking out retainers much easier than using just fingers. I like that the set comes in 5 different colors, which makes it easy to keep track of each tool. The only downside is that they can still be a bit tricky when plucking off stubborn aligners, especially if your retainers fit snugly. Still, overall, they save a lot of hassle and are worth having if you wear removable braces or aligners regularly. Read more
