I am definitely someone who prefers pen and paper over typing notes into a phone, so finding a reliable scratchpad is important to me. Upon using these Alitte notebooks, I was immediately impressed by the construction quality. The paper has a nice, silky feel that takes ink beautifully, and I experienced no bleeding with standard ballpoint pens or pencils. A standout feature is the cardboard backing; it is a smooth light gray and is noticeably thicker and sturdier than the coarse brown cardboard found on most standard pads. This provides a solid writing surface even if you are not using a clipboard. Receiving a pack of twelve has been incredibly convenient as it allows me to keep a pad in every necessary spot. I have placed one next to the computer, another in the kitchen for grocery lists, and even tucked one into game boxes for keeping score. The 5x8 size hits the sweet spot for quick notes where a full-sized legal pad would be overkill. The narrow ruled sheets are lined on both sides, which is a nice touch, and the pages tear off cleanly without leaving the messy paper confetti common with spiral notebooks. Overall, these pads represent excellent value for the money given the premium feel of the materials. The bindings are secure so the books do not fall apart during use, yet the perforated sheets are easy to remove when needed. While I sometimes miss the look of traditional yellow legal pads, these white notepads are functional, durable, and exactly what I needed to keep my thoughts and lists organized around the house and office. This review is for the Alittle 5x8 Small Notebooks – 12 Pack Narrow Ruled, White Perforated Note Pads with 50 Sheets Per Notepad, (No Ink Bleeding) Ideal Legal Pads for Writing, Note Taking, Home, Office, School. These little pads have a nice slick feelz As you’ll see in the pictures, I sampled them with my favorite ink, pencil, and permanent marker. I only would suggest not using permanent marker if you wish to write on the back of the paper, as it bled through to the page below. However, I would expect any single sheet paper to do that, so no reduction of stars for that. (I was basically curious.) It’s nice to get a little set of these because I like to have them in various places for ease of use when I need to jot a quick note, or start a list, etc. This pad, for instance, will go into a game’s box for which we need to be able to keep score on paper. It makes it so much easier when we get out the game and everything we need is already in the box! I wish they offered them in yellow like traditional legal pads, but these will definitely work! These were just what I needed to be able to make notes at my desk. They come with enough so that you can have them last for a while. The pages and books are sturdy and you shouldn’t have any issues with pages ripping out or the books falling apart. These were great for the value. I’ve been making great use of them. I prefer the legal-pad style versus spiral ring pads that release bits of paper when pages are torn out. These pads are perfect for me. The pages tear off cleanly and easily. This is a great pack of 12 notepads. The paper is silky feeling and takes ink nicely and with my normal ball point pen I do not get any bleed through. It is lined on both sides of the paper so you can write lots of notes on each sheet. Easy to use but tearing the page off the top isn't the greatest but it is pretty much the same as any other note pads I have encountered, so just saying that the sheets are not perforated for tearing as it states in the listing. As for value for the money, it might be a bit higher than other pads that are listed on Amazon, but the paper quality is very nice so that could be the difference in the cost. Read more

These small notebooks are a complete and utter failure, directly contradicting their most basic claim. The paper is incredibly thin, leading to severe ink bleed-through with even the lightest pen. Writing on one side immediately makes the reverse unusable, entirely negating the idea of using both sides or having a smooth writing experience. The perforations for tearing off pages are also inconsistent, often resulting in ragged edges. For something advertised as quality writing paper and having superb value for money, it delivers neither. The cost for these incredibly flimsy, low quality notepads is simply indefensible. These ALITTE 12 pack of 5x8 small notebooks it's just what we were hoping for when they arrived. The only knock I have is that the cellophane wrapping around them was torn open so the tablets were loose in the box but they were not damaged. These notepads are all white and color and the lines appear to be properly spaced as you would expect. My wife likes the fact that the sheets tear off very easily and the backing is also very sturdy on these which is often not the case with notepads. So I would say if you were looking for a solid set a 5x8 notepads, you need not look any further. Read more
