This styling tool has been a really fun to use and gives me a much more polished, voluminous look compared to drying and curling my hair in separate steps. These types of tools do have a learning curve, but I found the air wrapping technique much easier to learn than curling with a flat iron. I definitely suggest watch short tutorials on YouTube and have fun with it! The one thing that would make this even better is if the air wrap attachment could switch directions. Having to manually switch sides instead of flipping the airflow direction isn’t a huge deal, but it would definitely make the whole process quicker. The attachments click and lock into place but they don’t have as much “click” as I expected. They’re just a bit stiff. I’ve already gotten used to it and it’s not something that would stop me from recommending this set. I mainly use the volumizing brush and the air wrap style attachments, so I can’t really speak to how the other attachments perform. I had another hair tool set like this previously. This set from Funflow works better than my last one. Most importantly, the air wrapping works better. It wraps more effectively than my last one. The buttons/controls work better on this one. My last one had clunky buttons and switches where this one has smooth buttons. I do sometimes hit the buttons accidentally but I’ve found that to be the case on every hair tool I’ve ever had. This set from Funflow is very sleek and makes my old one feel bulky. This one feels more lightweight and easier to manage. This one from Funflow is almost twice the price, but I think it’s worth it for the better performance and overall quality. I didn’t need the extra accessories like the glove and the clips because I already had some. I don’t even use a glove with this. The tips of the attachments can get a little hot but I’ve still been able to swap them out without needing a glove. The storage bag is not really the right type of bag to store all of these attachments because there’s nothing to separate them and protect them from each other. I will probably buy a separate bag that has compartments for the attachments. Overall, this is a solid, budget friendly option that performs well, especially if you’re mostly interested in volume and soft curls. It’s a great way to test out this style of tool before deciding whether you want to invest in a higher priced brand. Read more
This 6 in 1 hair dryers system is superb! I have tried a few like this. I like the overall design that you can use it as a regular hair dryer or use one of the many attachments. The hair dryer itself is powerful. It blow dries my hair much faster than my old dryer and leaves it looking smooth and shiny. You can adjust the heat, I leave it at the lowest so it doesn’t damage my fine hair. The volumizing brush gives me so much volume! I let my hair air dry almost 80% and then use this attachment. Same goes with the straightening brush, I don’t use it on soaking wet hair. The curling attachments take a minute to learn. I watched some videos on Instagram and YouTube. They really work! My hair doesn’t hold a curl for long with any took unfortunately. You can buy travel bags for systems like this making traveling a breeze. It does come with a bag though! It is priced great! So much less than the name brand that this is like. Give it a try! Read more
I am EXTREMELY happy with the Funflow 6-in-1 Hairstyler! I have been wanting something like this for quite some time as I typically let my hair airdry and then flat iron it but the flat iron heat destroyed my hair and I recently cut off a lot of length because of it. So I wanted something less harsh and damaging while still giving me either a straight or wavy look. Lets start off with the GOOD: - All of the different heads are easy to swap out, with a button and clear instruction on locking and unlocking. - Heat level is great, 3 levels but never gets too hot, but the stylers do which is what is important. - Motor is much quieter than a typical blow dryer which is a win as I have 9.5mo and typically shower after she goes to bed. - The ionic dryer pushes a lot of air and dries the hair super well and very quickly. I went from wet hair to dry, styled, shiny hair in under 10mins. - The curling brush is awesome! I was able to get a nice wave in my hair easily. - The volumizing brush works really well to smooth and really gives a nice boost of volume. I have pretty fine hair, but a lot of it so it tends to lay flat unless I give it a little boost. - The airwrap nozzles take a bit of getting used to the learning curve. However I feel like I can just do it quicker with the curling brush (same outcome) - The straightening brush works really well at smoothing the hair, but if used correctly you can also get a little volume from it too! THE BAD: - My only gripe is that I did notice that the buttons are in the exact spot you would typically hold the device. So I was accidentally changing the heat level while styling my hair so that was a bit annoying but nothing I can't train myself into not doing. All-in-all I absolutely love this 6-in-1 styler. I believe for the quality of the product and the outcome of each wand is absolutely worth the $149.99 price tag. If you're looking for an easy to use styler with great payoff, I would definitely suggest trying this one! Read more
