For the LED light: I use red LED strips to keep my bedroom at a comfortable low level light with the lights off. Those with migraines may relate. The LED on the power block light, as shown in pictures, should heavily overpower the red LED lights. I honestly forget it is there most nights. I have had several migraines since installing it where I have had to turn off even a blue light attached to a ring light, that this power block is keeping on. The light is so dim that it was preferrable to go to it face on to unplug the blue light rather than face the tiny blue dot of a light. As for the actual block itself: it is wonderful and does as designed! I haven't personally tested whether the thing powers top vs bottom, however, it is powering things properly and keeping my devices charged. I easily put it into the wall and plugged everything in with no issue. It makes no noise and I have had no issues powering an entire streaming set up with it. My only issue is that the LED light is advertised as a way to see at night and it does not do that. It only shows that there is power. I prefer the light to be dim, but if it is advertised as a night light, it has to be bright enough to see with. Read more

The LED light on my unit is purely a power indicator. It simply tells you that there is power going to the 6-Outlet Extender. It does not help to illuminate the outlets and it does not give a glow for safe navigation at night as advertised. I tested it in total darkness, and it remained just a small indicator light. Perhaps I received a defective unit. With that said, the seller does offer a "worry-free 12-month warranty and friendly customer service," which is a big plus if you get a defective unit. Positive Features: • Safety Caps: The six "Safety Caps" function well; they snap securely into position and are not free-floating. • Connection Quality: I tested each plug-in, and every one felt tight and should make a good, reliable electrical connection. I needed more outlets in my dorm room, and this little thing is perfect. It plugs right into the wall and gives me six outlets, which is plenty for my laptop, phone charger, and lamp. Just a nice way to have a safe and stable way to have more outlets from one outlet. It's really stable and doesn't budge which makes it feel more reliable knowing that it won't randomly fall out of the wall just being plugged into one outlet. The light is a good indicator but it could be a little annoying knowing that it's always on, so I just use it under the desk so it's out of sight out of mind.
