Paper quality is good. You can write on both sides without difficulty reading. College ruled is ideal for me... more text per page. Lines are on both sides of pages. The back of these pads is floppy, not stiff enough to write on without a desk surface or clipboard or folio. Colors are vibrant and appealing, but still pale enough to write on then read easily. This set of 5X8" notepads allows you to color coordinate your notes. There are six pads of 50 sheets each in green, yellow, purple, blue, pink, and white. It's a great way to keep track of different lists, class notes, family members' schedules, etc. The pages are reasonably thick, with no bleed through, even using a black gel pen. They tear off smoothly and easily, with no rough edges. The only caveat is that the cardboard backing is thin, not sturdy. It doesn't add much support to the pad of papers, so if you need to have more backing, you will need a clipboard or other firm writing surface. Read more
