Man these mounts seem flimsy as all get out. They aren't though, they seem to be holding the acoustic guitar, electric guitar, and electric bass that I hung on them. I'll admit I held my breath for the first hour after I hung them, but it's been a few weeks now and not so much as a wobble has come from the wall. Installation wasn't that difficult as far as the mounts go. (The lack of many vertical studs above 8 feet in our vaulted ceiling was a pain, but that's neither here nor there.) The hardest part was the level-ness of the mount, the verticality. My internet is telling me neither of those are words, but whatever. Normally I'd put my bubble level up the long side of the mount to ensure it's level. In this case, the sides are slightly football-shaped up and down, so its flat side is on the top and bottom instead (the short sides), which are still kind of rounded in their own right, so even if you use a level you'll have to do some "eyeing it up". Fortunately, the mounting screws aren't that far apart, so even if it's a couple degrees off vertical, you're still going to hit your stud. Also fortunately, the mount arms that actually hold the guitars are rotatable so the guitar will still hang vertically even if the mount isn't (thanks, gravity). You just have to kind of gut through it and get past the OCD/anal "but it's just not quite straight..." thought. With 6 in a pack for just a few bucks (under $10 I'm pretty sure), this was a great value. They may not be the sexiest guitar mounts, but I now have three guitars mounted on a wall, which is sexy in its own right. Plus I have extras if I can talk her into letting me hang the uke too. This is a product you can't live without if you have guitars. Hanging them on the wall saves so much room. I had all 6 of them in use. It is good for band practice. Easy to hang and good material.
