I bought this pan because I moved in with my boyfriend and he had a Teflon set. I don't cook with Teflon because I just finished treatments for cancer and we all know the chemicals in Teflon. But my set did not have this size pan and he uses this size a lot. His pan was starting to peel. So I got this during a flash sale. It is amazing. We made Philly cheese steaks with it. They were delicious. The pan heated up evenly and the food cooked perfectly the first use. It is easy to clean and very sturdy. 20/10 Read more

It's a great pan, great size and cleanup was a breeze. The only reason why I gave 4 stars is, after using it a few times (maybe 5) just for blanching vegetables, it developed some white pitting.. I'm sure it would'nt affect the cooking. Since I've had it less than a month, I had it exchanged. They immediately sent out another (awesome customer service) and hopefully this doesn't happen again. I'll keep you updated! Read more

This is my very favorite pan. It’s heavy duty, doesn’t warp with high heat, and can be used for a variety of cooking situations. It rarely sticks(happened once when I didn’t put much oil and walked away for too long, but it still didn’t scorch, and cleaned with a minimum of scrubbing). My favorite use is for making spaghetti sauce. Can sauté the veggies and meat and just add the sauce directly instead of switching pans, because it holds so much. Used it also as a regular frying pan and to boil pasta. The handle of the pan and the lid both stay cool when cooking which is a big plus for me. Read more

If I could give this pan ZERO stars I would!!!!! We tried to use the nuts it originally came with to attach the handle, and they stripped after one turn BY HAND!!!! So I emailed the company like they instructed us to before using the Amazon return, I still haven't heard back from them. It has been since September 28th. So once I realized the warranty has run out on my pan the only option now would be to go to Lowes and find matching nuts. So I did. Well while turning these nuts and trying to tighten them on so I had a working handle finally. In the process of turning the nuts, the bolts break off the pot! I am so done!!!! I tried to like this... I wanted to think it was good and the company would care or take responsibility... This is coming from a Christian southern woman... F them and F this stupid pan. Read more

Function Requires the long handle to be screwed on and comes with nuts handle and wrench to attach. After attached have extra nut. Easy assembly. No defects in the metal. Smooth handle easy to hold. Pan bottom is flat to avoid scratching glass top of your cooking surface. I have been using steal pans for 20 plus years and have loved them, but their handles were failing so had to replace mine, also due to my old handles being plastic I could not put them in the oven. it is nice and deep for sauce or making stir fry dishes. Due to its size the second handle is needed to lift. The other reason I got this was for the induction option. It does work with induction just fine. Keep in mind with induction the size of the coil or the magnetic part may not cover the full 12 inches of the bottom of this pan, so you will need to move the food around to get it to cook. Make sure to look at the coil size not what size of pan it will hold. Shipping and Packaging Arrived on the date it reported on the order status. Came in two boxes. I am assuming that was because Amazon wanted to keep the contents a secret. The outer box was a perforated edge, and I prefer this because no tape was used. The inner box was taped with traditional packing tape. The lid, pan and handle were in a plastic bag. The handle was wrapped in bubble wrap. The nuts and wrench are in a small plastic Ziplock type bag. Instructions simple and easy to do. Chefmate might want to work on more ecofriendly packaging. The pan itself has my eco vote. Time will tell if the pan holds up, but I am really happy with the feel and performance so far. Read more
