Finally got a chance to use the jump starter. I wondered how many jumps you can get when starting at a 100% charge. The size of the engine definitely makes a difference. I have a 4.8 Chevy. I was sitting in line and I was going to start it to run the ac for a bit but nothing. I connected to the battery and went to start it. It was as if I had a brand new battery. I think the charge dropped to around 80% . Turned off the engine after sitting for awhile the line started to move. Once again the battery was dead. Now I was in hurry because the line is moving. Grabbed the jumper and quickly hooked up to the battery and easily got it running. Now the charge was down to 72%. Not bad I think, should be able to get 5-7 jumps. A small 4 cylinder engine would get about 10 or more. Now if the engine is having trouble starting and it is turning over and over you will drain the charge pretty quickly. Today at a gas station someone asked if I could give him a jump. He had a super duty with the 7.4 diesel. He kinda looked at like, that little to jump this. I said we’ll find out. Hooked it up, told him to try it, and it turned over like it was a new battery. Glad I got a chance to use it on this truck. Started with a 100% charge and after that one jump it dropped to 52%. So if use it at all, charge it back up. And it has ports to charge your phone or devices but I don’t recommend using it to charge anything. I charged my phone not even a full charge and the jumper dropped to 60%. This thing is great to have. You don’t have to try and find someone to give you a jump.
