I should be a spokesperson for anything having to do with clogged drains because I have long, curly hair that falls out in clumps every time I shower (and yet I still have a thick head of hair. It’s crazy). I’ve had to call my landlord TWICE in a year to unclog my shower drain. These drain snakes unclog hair GREAT from showers & sinks. Everyone in my family has long hair. We needed to buy in bulk. You can clean them off because you'll need to repeatedly pull hair clumps out to really get the drain free flowing. Be careful though, the spikes are SHARP. Also know, it's a bit gross doing this unclogging yourself but sure does save paying someone else to do this. Trick is, don't let it get bad, just do it every month in the shower. I also have one of those in-sink hair catchers to make it easier. I clean that catcher off every couple of weeks. Both worth the purchase, no complaints or issues! Read more

I bought these because I was out of the green ones that came with the drain cleaning powder pouches I normally buy. Seemed like a good value for number of pieces because I only have to do a deep clean twice a year. In the past I was able to do the tub drain, wipe off the clumps, and then dip into the sink drain (definitely not salvageable after that moldy drain). Even if I only got one use each of these orange ones it would last me a few years. However I think the hooky bits are too small as they don't really catch onto a lot of hair like I'm used to. About a third of the poky bits actually snapped off, so I don't think the plastic is as durable. It felt like the grippy end was going to snap off because it was not easy to twist as I used it. You definitely should wear thick rubber gloves and have pliers nearby incase you really have to tug at the broken pieces. Read more

These drain snake clog removers are great. The water in my shower was going down the drain so slowly. I don't like using drain cleaners with my pet around. I thought I would give these a try. I did what the directions said and the hair just came out. Sorry to say, there was so much, but it came out easy. Now my drain is running like it should. I like the price and the quality.
