These feel like good quality lighters and I appreciate the color variety. Safety switch works well and I test lit a piece of paper and a candle. I plan to use them at home (candles/BBQ) and on RV trips (for campfire/camp stove lighting). I haven't be able to test them on firestarters yet, but, I don't anticipate any issues (as another review indicted they tested this). I bought an 8 pack of these just because the small arc lighter I have (the zippo size) is awesome and this grill style is so much more versatile. Even though I have only tried one out of the pack, it worked perfectly. The flexible head is versatile and it worked as it should. I'm not a fan of arc lighters for all applications, but for the uses that I like them for, these work great. Meaning when lighting gas or fueled items, I really like them. For lighting candle wicks, they work, but they are not my favorite choice. If you've used them to light candles, you'll understand what I mean. You have to get the wick down in the little space between the electrodes to light the wick. Not a deal breaker, I just want you to be aware. For lighting fuel soaked wicks, propane items, or gas grills, these are the best. They are rechargeable and are just a really great item assuming all the others work just as well. Read more
