These clips are just what I needed. For reference, I have fine, high density curly hair that is about shoulder length. I'm growing out some curly layers, and the back of my head has short layers that still can't go up in a ponytail. This clip helps keep that layer in place. They're good quality and I especially like the matte finish, plus the fact that they lay mostly flat against my head. They have a lot of tension in them so they stay in place. It does not pull hair and it's comfortable when laying your head against a chair or laying down. I personally don't like to sleep in them, but they're definitely more comfortable than traditional clips for doing so especially if you only sleep on your side. Bought as a stocking stuffer for my wife and have received high praise. They seem to have typical hair clip quality with a strong hold. The colors are simple and mute making them not stand out (which my wife likes). They clips are large enough to clip up shoulder length hair without issue. I was a bit skeptical, but these are great. They're easy to use and hold my hair all day (even sometimes after I've put on and taken off a winter hat). I came back to find the link because a friend complimented me and asked where to get them, so I decided to leave a review. A plus is that they arrive in a box that works for storage. My hair is shoulder length, thin and wavy, but a lot of it. These clips hold my hair up all day while taking care of my toddler grandson. The lower part of the clip reminds me of a side hair comb, with the teeth to work through your hair to clamp together and hold your hair in place. These do not have the three prongs. From starting with the small flat hair clips, then moving to the large flat hair clips, to finally buying these flat hair clips, the present ones work the best for me.
