The media could not be loaded. I got this mp3 to use at the gym as both a radio (tv sound on the treadmill) and music player. For the last couple of weeks its been a solid little media player. Pros: - Includes everything you need (headphones, USB cable sd card) - Battery lasts me a 10+ days at the gym. - Solid build quality for the price. if i accidentally drop a weight on it, it might survive - its cheap enough to replace if destroyed or lost - The pre-installed apps work great. - The FM radio works with my bluetooth earbuds (needs any 3.5mm cord plugged in for antenna) - Included SD card offers plenty of space for songs and videos. - easily expand the storage by adding a bigger SD card. - plays n.264 and n.265 videos via software and hardware encoding - supports subtitles for video - Easily transfer media over wifi, or pop-out the sd card. I did not select this device because it plays MP3s. One can get a very good MP3 player for 1/3 the price of this device. It was selected because it advertises as having Bluetooth, WiFi and it play VIDEOS. The Parental controls, pre-installed Spotify and Spotify Kid are of no value to a grown up. I fully charged the device, set the date/time and inserted a SD that had videos installed that ran properly on the computer. The device showed that it had to FORMAT the SD card. Formatting a SD card removes previously installed files. But, I could always reinstall the files after the formatting. When the FORMATTING was done, I removed the SD and installed it into the computer to load the videos back on to the card. I was surprised to find that the Device had created 2 logical drives on the SD. Wondered why, but dismissed. I attempted to install the videos back on the SD and the computer gave the error "Not enough room on the card". I removed the SD from one computer and moved it to a much higher end computer. Surprise, the Device had created THREE Logical partitions on the SD card. One partition was hidden. WHY. AND WHAT was the hidden partition for? I loaded the videos back on the SD and then inserted it into the Device. The Device gave me an error that it could not read the SD card, that it had formatted. Enough frustrations. Not being that impressed with the Device, I put my SD card back into the computer and instructed the computer to do a full format of the 64Gb SD and restore it to its original settings. I put the device back in its box, put that box back in the Amazon box, and prepared the device for a swift return. I have other MP3/MP$ players that work without reformatting the SD card. So I know that the SD cards should work in the Device. PERHAPS, I got the bad one, not sure and really don't care. I should not have to spend 4 hours trying to figure out what is wrong with a MP3/MP4 audio/video player. It should work after charging and initial setup. 11 year old daughter was super excited about this mp3 player. Played music as expected but the older android software (that you apparently cannot update) doesn't support the newest Kindle app. The kindle app came pre-installed on the device so you would expect it to work. Ridiculous! After 2 hours of working the Amazon tech support, downloading a newer version of Spotify app and Spotify Lite from APKmirror through the Chrome browser, the final result was a still not working Spotify app. The only reason I ordered the mp3 player was to log into my Premium Spotify account and listen.
