This was a decent compact portable DVD Player. In general, it was easy to use and the built-in speakers sounded good for their size. The display only had three brightness settings (Off, Low, High). I subtracted 1/2 star because the display had quite a narrow viewing angle. It basically only looked decent if viewing directly from the front. From the top, bottom and sides, the image quality degraded rapidly. The manual mentioned that the Audio input can be connected to the dual purpose headphones jack. There was a jack labeled "FM ANT" but it was sealed off with a rubber plug and the manual did not mention anything about the FM radio functionality. I found it difficult to read the the labels on the buttons because they were just embossed on the same plastic color yielding practically no legible contrast. The unit felt solid and a bit heavier than I expected. I would have liked to see an included carrying case or pouch of some kind and an AV cable for connecting the audio/video outputs to a larger screen when desired. It had no trouble reading standard DVDs but skipped a bit reading my DVD-R recordable discs. It was easy to pair the DVD player as Bluetooth speakers to my smartphone in the "Receiver Mode". Unfortunately, I struggled unsuccessfully to pair the DVD Player to an external Bluetooth speaker in the "Transmitter Mode" which caused another 1/2 star deduction. I kept getting the status display, "T : OFF", which probably meant Bluetooth Transmission Off but the manual made no mention of the status messages. My workaround was to use the audio outputs from the headphones audio jack. A nice bonus was that the DVD Player was able to play my music DVD discs with 24bits/96kHz files on them. Read more

it could not play 80% of my dvd"s it could not play any tv series dvd's! it needs a handle very hard to carry but the picture quality is great battery is good remote good as well!! I sent it back for a refund 3 stars Read more
