Love this. Got 10 snails, all alive, all a mix of colors (blues, reds, and a very bright orange one). Some are QUITE small so it'll take a little bit to grow them up, but with a tank and some food, that'll happen. Wasn't sure about getting snails on Amazon, but turned out great. Packaging was proper - a box that had one of those insulated UPS bags that had a proper transparent fish bag in it with snails on a wet paper towel. Shipped fast. All in all, at my LFS (local fish shop), ramshorns go at $8 a piece for a fully grown one, and these are less than two dollars for some babies. Great deal. 5/5. Read more
❤️the snails came 100 % alive, 3 juveniles and several small ones, very healthy all of them. They came fast, on time. I really like the shipping service, because we are in a hard Winter time, and the snails came with warm water. I hate to have to leave this review but i want others to be aware. Ive ordered snails online in the past and it was always a success, healthy growing snails for YEARS from different company's. But this time was such a disappointment. Originally my order was shipped on may 6th, expected on may 10th. The 10th came and no snails and my tracking said "delayed" then pushed out to may 16th. I messaged the seller questioning the quality of the snails if they were in the mail that long. They claimed they sent new ones out, but i was still to recieve them on the 16th. When I got the snails they seemed to all float and throughout time they started moving few and far. Mind you, these snails were TINY! After letting them adjust In a small bowl, i added them to the tank (well adjusted tank) and within 24hrs, alot of them died. I have 3 still hanging strong but unfortunately all others have floated to the top, dead. The 2 hr demand window that the seller allows for refunds is crazy. Especially with how sketchy there delivery was in the first place. I will never order from this company again. Would be different if they would have been a bit more sympathetic to the delivery issue as well, because it was all super ironic that they sent out a "new" batch expected on the 16th but my other ones that got sent out on the 6th, was also to be expected in the 16th and I only got one package. Beautiful little snails. Mixed sizes but I know they'll grow quickly. Colors are great with lots of yellow, pink, orange, a little blueish. First order arrived dead, but the seller quickly replaced them (with way more than 9) and the second batch had no DOA. All snails were beautiful and healthy. Read more
THE ad is miss leading, show snails that are nice size and color. But when you receive them they are wrapped in a paper towel, which is fine, but again they are so small you can barely seen them so be careful you open the towel totally so you don't throw any out by mistake. It has a small note included explain the small snails ship better, with a better chance of arriving alive. ALL this is fine and they seem to be doing fine. BUT PUT THAT IN YOU DISCRIPTION. Read more
I counted 10 little snails of varying sizes in a nice wet paper towel in a bag, in a shipping bag inside of a box. Acclimation instructions were included. One big snail was outside of the paper towel upon arrival and I was worried, but when I put the bag inside of the tank to acclimate, it immediately started moving around! I was so worried because it was unusually hot today. Temp hit about 90 at high noon when this package was delivered to the mailbox and I fell asleep for about an hour, and when I woke up I saw that it had been delivered, so I was rightfully panicked. But no smell or signs of dead snails and the one that was moving around made me hopeful. I hid them around the tank and didn’t see any moving right away, but I’m hopeful 🤞🏼 Read more
I received 10 healthy beautiful ramshorn snails! I was a bit worried, because Amazon did not notify me that these were delivered, it seemed to be a bug that is Amazon's fault, so these guys unfortunately spent an extra 2 days in the packaging. The seller did an amazing job of packaging them though which ensured that they're safe and sound. I was expecting a few to not be doing very well, but they're all out and about. I'm glad that the ones I received were slightly smaller, as I wanted to put them into my aquarium that didn't yet have enough algae to support larger ones. I am very satisfied. Read more
It may have just been my own experience, but the majority of the snails did not survive the shipping. I grabbed them as soon as they were delivered. From what I could tell, only two were alive but both were dead within an hour or so after being introduced to the tank. They started out fine, climbing the walls of the tank so I thought they’d be ok. Could be a one off but I will not be ordering again. Read more
