Works good with modification
Tabs were too wide for the original mercury shift shaft seal on my 2011 Optimax 150 & too wide for the Sierra seal it replaced. Had to file down the tabs quite a bit to fit. Worked fine after filing them down but dang. I cant imagine there being that much variance. Read more
Tight fit, had to drive on with some force.
It gets the job done, took a flat file to it to thin the ears down a bit. It now fits like it should and isn't so tight you have to drive it on. Would definitely buy again if needed. Read more

Good tool for removal & replacement of Mercury lower unit shift rod seal
Sturdy tool for removal and replacement of shift rod seal on 150 HP Mercury outboard lower unit. If you have to use an extender to help break the old seal loose I recommended direct hand pressure over tool to prevent slippage when breaking the seal loose. Read more
